Margaritaville at Sea expands amenities and dining choices across fleet

Margaritaville at Sea is continuing to expand onboard amenities and dining choices across its fleet, with new concepts being introduced aboard both Margaritaville at Sea Islander and Margaritaville at Sea Paradise.

Margaritaville at Sea Islander has recieved a permanent tattoo space, known as Permanent Reminder that replaces earlier arrangements where tattoo services were located within a spa setting.

According to guest reports shared online, bookings are handled onboard and pricing starts from $75, with some passengers indicating they were able to apply pre-purchased spa credits toward tattoo appointments.

Passengers can select from pre-made artworks, including designs reflecting the brand’s themes, or request custom tattoos. With this introduction, Margaritaville at Sea joins other contemporary cruise operators who have added tattoo studios as part of broader efforts to diversify leisure and lifestyle experiences at sea, most notably Virgin Voyages.

Margaritaville at Sea Islander operates year-round from Port of Tampa Bay, offering four- to ten-night itineraries to Florida and Caribbean destinations such as Key West, Cozumel, Progreso and ports in the Cayman Islands.

Built originally for Costa Cruises in the late 1990s, the 2,100-guest vessel was acquired in 2023 and later underwent a comprehensive refurbishment in Europe.

The line’s second vessel, Margaritaville at Sea Paradise, will debut a new market-style buffet alternative following a planned drydock in January 2026.

The space, located on Deck 10, will replace the existing buffet and introduce individual stations serving freshly prepared dishes.

Margaritaville at Sea has released renderings that show influences from other dining concepts found across its ships and properties, including Frank & Lola’s Pizzeria, Slide at Paradise Desserts and Mexican Cutie Cantina.

Margaritaville at Sea Paradise sails out of Port of Palm Beach on year-round two- to four-night cruises to ports including Freeport, Nassau, and Key West. The ship was built in the early 1990s for Costa Cruises before later operating for Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line.

Since entering service for Margaritaville at Sea in mid-2022, the 1,300-guest vessel has received multiple refurbishments, including upgrades introduced in early 2025 such as a craft spirits bar, refreshed poolside venues, and a new specialty restaurant, Far Side Sushi, along with adjustments to the menu at JWB Prime Steakhouse.

Margaritaville at Sea has also confirmed further fleet development, with Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber scheduled to join the brand in early 2027. Currently sailing as Costa Fortuna, the 2003-built vessel is set to operate from PortMiami on three- to eight-night itineraries to the Bahamas and the Caribbean.
