Disney Wish Tower Suite
Disney Cruise Line created immense anticipation for its new ship Disney Wish when it revealed the plethora of experiences to be had aboard, and now its revealed another one, a suite located inside the ship’s funnel.
The funnel suite aboard Disney Wish will be one of the most unique in the cruise industry. In fact, there’s no other cruise ship in the world that offers this kind of cabin category. The funnel suite, officially called the Wish Tower Suite, is essentially Rapunzel’s tower.

Rapunzel is the ship’s mascot, with her character adorning the stern of the vessel, and the Wish Tower Suite will sit right at the top of the ship, higher than the navigation bridge or any other public spaces.
“With the Wish Tower Suite, we are creating a breathtaking experience that continues our tradition of the most unique and enchanting accommodations at sea,” said Laura Cabo, Portfolio Creative Executive for Walt Disney Imagineering.
While the Wish Tower Suite may be reminiscent of Rapunzel’s tower, it won’t be modelled on her story. Instead, the funnel suite aboard Disney Wish will be themed to the animated Disney film Moana.
Among the Moana-themed touches will be a porcelain sculpture that responds to guests entering the room, emitting pulsing light and sounds tied to the film’s soundtrack.

“The special lighting and audio effects will eventually fill the room to provide a truly magical, one-of-a-kind greeting,” Disney said in a press release.
The complex also will have Moana-related art and objects, such as a “sparkling constellation pattern” of lights on the ceiling of the children’s room that reveal imagery from the movie.
The 1,966 square foot suite will be one of the largest aboard any cruise ship and is designed to sleep up to eight guests, making it a good choice for families – Disney Cruise Line hasn’t said how much it will cost.

The funnel suite aboard Disney Wish will feature four bedrooms (two main ones, one kids one, and a library that converts into a bedroom if needed), as well as four full ensuite bathrooms and a guest bathroom in the common area downstairs.
The two main bedrooms upstairs will have king-size beds, and walk-in closets, while the ensuites will featuredouble vanities, soaking tubs and rain showers.

On the lower level there’ll be a living room, dining room, pantry and bar. Wrap around window walls running the full height of the two-storey suite will have motorized sheer and blackout curtains, though they will be slightly obstructed by the funnel’s exterior cladding.
The funnel suite aboard Disney Wish will also come with a personal concierge team and its own private elevator, as well as a wet bar stocked with water and sodas; complimentary internet access; and VIP access to the ship’s exclusive concierge lounge and sun deck area.
Ensuites feature full-size baths, rainfall showers and double sinks
The only thing the suite won’t have is a balcony, because of its location in the forward funnel. However, the funnel isn’t actually a working funnel, exhaust gasses are only emitted through the rear funnel, the forward one is purely aesthetic.
The same is true of all the ship’s in the Disney fleet, and all of them use the extra space in the funnel for different purposes.
Aboard Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, the forward funnel is home to a tween club called Edge and a small lounge for all passengers called Outlook. Aboard Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, the forward funnel is home to a teen club called Vibe.
Disney Wish is due for delivery in 2022, with her first cruise scheduled for June next year. She is the largest cruise ship ever ordered by the cruise line, the first in a series of three Triton-class ships, with accommodation for 2,500 at double occupancy and 4,000 at full occupancy.
She will homeport in Port Canaveral, Florida from June 9th, 2022, sailing a range of Caribbean itineraries. Cruises are due to go on sale on May 27th, 2021.
