Oasis of the Seas to get new cabin category Ultimate Panoramic Suite in refurbishment

Royal Caribbean have announced that Oasis of the Seas will get an entirely new cabin category during her US $165-million refurbishment, which is currently underway in Cadiz, Spain.

Called the Ultimate Panoramic Suites, the two new cabins will be added above the bridge, offering spectacular views through floor-to-ceiling wraparound windows.

The suites will have 200-degree panoramic views over the bow and will sleep up to four passengers in a master bedroom complete with its own ensuite, dressing room and walk-in wardrobe and living area.

Sitting to port and starboard, the suites will be huge, but will also come with access to the suite lounge, their own Royal Genie, free Voom Wi-Fi and specialty dining, as well as all the other perks that come with Royal Caribbean’s Royal Suite Class.

They will basically be an improved version of Royal Caribbean’s existing Ocean View Panoramic Suites, which in 2018 were also made part of the full suite privilege category.

The announcement comes just a few weeks after Royal Caribbean said that a new cabin category called the Spa Stateroom would be added to all ships in its Radiance, Voyager, Freedom, Oasis, Quantum and Quantum Ultra classes by 2021.

The Radiance-class includes Jewel of the Seas, but sadly the refit wont come before her 2020/21 deployment in Dubai.

Aboard Oasis of the Seas, however, a further 57 staterooms are going to be retrofitted, many of which will be turned into Spa Staterooms.

The Royal Amplification of Oasis of the Seas is Royal Caribbean’s largest refit and refurbishment to date and will take until the end of November to complete.

When the ship, a member of the largest cruise ship class in the world, re-enters service on November 24^th, she’ll boast a number of changes intended to bring her up to date with sister ship Symphony of the Seas and the new Quantum Ultra ship Spectrum of the Seas.

Updates to the vessel include the 10-story Ultimate Abyss slide; The Perfect Storm waterslides; a 1970s mission control-themed Escape Room; a reimagined pool deck featuring a Lime & Coconut bar; new kids clubs and new-to-the-line venue Spotlight Karaoke.

Oasis of the Seas’ first post-refurb cruise will be a seven-night Eastern Caribbean voyage from Miami on November 24^th.
