Holland America Line expands entertainment with 4 new World Stage shows

Holland America Line has expanded its onboard entertainment offering with four new World Stage productions aboard Oosterdam, including a rock concert created in collaboration with Rolling Stone magazine.

Developed exclusively for the cruise line by entertainment company RWS Global, the new productions are designed to build on the popularity of Holland America Line’s Rolling Stone Lounge concept while broadening the range of live entertainment available throughout each voyage.

The headline addition is Holland America Line and Rolling Stone Present: All Access – The Songs That Shaped Us, a live rock production featuring music from artists including The Eagles, Janis Joplin, Van Halen, and Fleetwood Mac.

The show combines live musicians, vocalists, and dancers in a concert-style production inspired by the music publication’s longstanding association with rock music.

The collaboration follows the rollout of Rolling Stone Lounge venues across much of the Holland America fleet, with the new production expanding that partnership into a full-scale theatrical experience.

“We listened to what our guests wanted—more visually impressive productions with incredible music and memorable performances—and these four new shows deliver that,” said Joe Chantry, Vice President, Entertainment & Enrichment, Holland America Line.

“Working with our creative partners at RWS Global and Rolling Stone, we’ve developed an entertainment lineup that is bold, immersive and uniquely Holland America Line, giving guests even more reasons to make World Stage part of every evening on board,” he added.

Joining the new rock production are three additional shows spanning Broadway, disco, and contemporary theatrical performance.

Fosse and Verdon, The Duet That Changed Broadway has transferred to Oosterdam following its debut aboard Koningsdam. Produced in partnership with the Verdon Fosse Legacy, the show celebrates the work of legendary choreographer Bob Fosse and performer Gwen Verdon through music, choreography, and previously unseen archival material.

The entertainment programme is completed by Disco Fever, featuring 1970s classics including Le Freak, It’s Raining Men, I Love the Nightlife, and Decadence, a production blending Las Vegas-style spectacle with Broadway-inspired staging and choreography.

“The extraordinary success of the Rolling Stone Lounge makes it clear that guests crave authentic, brand-driven entertainment rooted in nostalgia. Building on a proven fan favorite, we’ve expanded the experience into a fully realized stage production featuring singers, dancers, and the band from Rolling Stone Lounge,” he added.

The four productions are currently being performed aboard Oosterdam and form part of Holland America Line’s broader investment in onboard entertainment alongside destination-focused itineraries.

The ship is also the first in the fleet scheduled to undergo a full transformation under the Holland America Evolution programme, with refurbishment work expected to debut in December 2027.
