Silversea Cruises will call in Salalah and Muscat on its world cruises in 2021 aboard Silver Cloud Expedition and Silver Whisper.

Silver Cloud’s 167-night ‘Unchartered World Tour’ is the first of its kind in the cruise industry, as it is the first expedition world cruise, while Silver Whisper’s 150-night world cruise is described as “the finest in the world”.

Silver Cloud will depart Ushuaia, Argentina, on January 30th, 2021, visiting a total of 107 ports in 30 countries, including Muscat and Salalah in Oman, before ending the cruise in in Tromso, Norway, on July 16th, 2021.

“Building on our already remarkable World Cruise offering, Silversea will become the first-ever cruise line to launch an Expedition World Cruise in 2021,” said Silversea Cruises’ CEO Roberto Martinoli. “This momentous voyage is the result of 10 years of experience and industry-leading knowledge, qualities which enable us to unlock remarkable travel experiences for our guests and have contributed to our reputation as the industry leader.”

Athens, Greece.

The voyage will visit remote destinations throughout Antarctica, South America, the South Pacific, Southeast Asia and Europe. Destination highlights include the Chilean Fjords; Easter Island; Fiji and other South Pacific islands; Oceania, including Papua New Guinea; Australia’s Kimberly coast; Indonesia; Singapore; Sri Lanka; India; the Greek Islands; Portugal; Iceland; and Norway’s Svalbard Region.

While most world cruises sail west to east, this itinerary will take passengers northward, from Antarctica to the Arctic, cutting diagonally across the Pacific, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Mediterranean. On the Middle East leg, she’ll visit both Muscat and Salalah.

Muscat, Oman.

Top scientists and experts will hold ‘Ted Talks’ type educational lectures during the voyage, and guided shore excursions will focus on exploration and the unique experiences to be had in these most exotic regions of the world. Best of all, everything is included in the cruise fare.

Shore excursion experiences include a private dinner on London Tower Bridge’s walkway to an exclusive Viking feast in Iceland’s Kjarnaskogur Forest.

All of this comes as a cost though – top accommodations aboard Silver Cloud will set you back US $1-million – but it includes business class air, a charter flight from Santiago to Ushuaia, the pre-cruise hotel, the aforementioned shore excursions, exclusive World Cruise events, private transfers, commemorative expedition gear, $2,000 onboard credit, laundry service, unlimited Wi-Fi, medical services and visas.

Silversea Cruises’ second World Cruise in 2021 will be aboard Silver Whisper, and departs Fort Lauderdale on January 7th, 2021 and ends in New York City on June 6th, 2021, visiting 54 ports in 34 countries.

Described as the “Finest World Tour”, the 150-night voyage features visits to the Panama Canal; the South Pacific; Australia and New Zealand; Southeast Asia, China and Japan; and the Mediterranean.

On this world cruise Silver Whisper will call in Salalah on her Middle East leg.

Shore excursions – and there are hundreds of them – are not included in the cruise fare, but passengers will receive $2,000 onboard credit and enjoy the other inclusions such as business class airfare and transfers.

Passengers also can take advantage of Silversea’s complimentary, independent-tour programs: Dine Around Town, for the chance to eat at fine dining restaurants in their choice of two of four cities, and Your Day Your Way, which provides English-speaking guides and transportation services to those who wish to explore on their own.

Silversea’s two 2021 World Cruises will open for booking to the general public in March, 2019.
