Bookings open for A&K Sanctuary’s new Nile Seray ahead of October 2026 launch

A&K Sanctuary Retreats, a luxury vacation subsidiary of the A&K Travel Group (AKTG), has opened bookings for Nile Seray, the newest addition to its luxury Nile fleet.

The 64-guest vessel is scheduled to debut in Egypt in October 2026, marking the company’s fifth luxury riverboat on the Nile and its most spacious and technologically advanced to date.

Designed for just 64 guests across 32 suites, Nile Seray has been conceived as a contemporary floating palace, reflected in its name, which translates as “palace” in Turkish.

Entry-level suites measure a generous 33 square metres and feature seating areas beside floor-to-ceiling windows, waterside Juliet balconies and large bathrooms, while two premium suites include full private balconies with outdoor spa pools overlooking the Nile.

The vessel will operate four-night itineraries between Aswan and Luxor, offering guests immersive access to Egypt’s most significant archaeological and cultural landmarks.

Each voyage includes guided visits to the temples of Luxor, Karnak, and Aswan, as well as curated cultural experiences such as felucca sailing around Elephantine Island, Egyptian cooking classes, traditional evening performances and optional hot-air balloon flights. Expert A&K Egyptologists will accompany all shore excursions.

What distinguishes Nile Seray’s programme is the inclusion of some of Egypt’s most coveted and restricted sites as standard, including private access to the tombs of Nefertari, Seti I, Ramses VI, King Tutankhamun, and Amenhotep III on the West Bank.

These visits are typically unavailable on conventional itineraries and form a core part of A&K’s long-established Nile product.

On board, Nile Seray introduces a new standard of river cruise hospitality. Facilities include two restaurants – one indoor and one open-air – a full spa and gym complex, and a top deck with canopied daybeds, swimming pool, and an outdoor bar and lounge offering wraparound views of the Nile Valley.

The wellness area incorporates two spa treatment rooms and a fully equipped fitness centre, allowing guests to balance sightseeing with restorative experiences.

The launch continues Abercrombie & Kent’s near-five-decade involvement in Nile cruising, which began in 1977 when founder Geoffrey Kent introduced the company’s first Nile itineraries aboard the historic SS Memnon. Nile Seray builds on that legacy while aligning with evolving expectations of high-end experiential travel.

Fares start from US$3,125 per person for the four-night voyage, with all meals, excursions and onboard amenities included. Each booking also supports A&K Philanthropy initiatives in Egypt, including partnerships with the Funtasia After School Programme in Luxor and the Aswan Heart Centre.

Nile Seray’s arrival coincides with renewed global interest in luxury Nile cruising, driven in part by the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum in November 2025. Egypt recorded 15 million international visitors in the first nine months of 2025, up 21% year-on-year, with GCC bookings rising 12% over the past year.

Nile Seray joins A&K Sanctuary’s existing fleet on the Nile – Nile Adventurer, Sun Boat III, Sun Boat IV, and Zein Nile Chateau – with a sister ship scheduled to follow in 2028, reinforcing the company’s continued investment in Egypt’s premium river cruise sector.
