Norwegian Cruise Line confirms winter 2027/28 deployment across 47 countries

Norwegian Cruise Line has unveiled details of its winter 2027/28 deployment, outlining a programme of more than 370 voyages across nearly 50 countries alongside the return of its Free at Sea Plus package.

The programme of itineraries will run from September 2027 through April 2028 and will include cruises ranging from two to 22 days, calling at 144 destinations across 47 countries, with a focus on the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Bermuda, the Mexican Riviera, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

Norwegian Cruise Line said the season is designed around longer port stays, with 71 late departures, 70 overnight calls, and an average time ashore of 9.5 hours.

“We’re thrilled to unveil our new immersive winter season, giving travelers the ultimate freedom to create their own adventure,” said Harry Sommer, President and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd, the parent company of Norwegian Cruise Line. “Whether it’s an exotic Asia voyage, a quick Bahamas escape, or a sun-soaked Caribbean getaway, our itineraries are designed for flexibility and choice.”

For the first time, two of the cruise line’s Prima Class ships will be based in San Juan.

Norwegian Prima will operate seven-night Southern Caribbean itineraries from November 13th, 2027 through April 22nd, 2028, while Norwegian Viva will offer complementary seven-night sailings from November 14th, 2027 through January 23rd, 2028, including calls in Aruba and Curaçao.

Florida will remain a central hub for the line’s winter operations, with seven ships sailing from ports including Miami, Port Canaveral, and Jacksonville.

These itineraries will cover the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and the Panama Canal, with many voyages including calls at Great Stirrup Cay, the company’s private island in the Bahamas. The island is scheduled to receive additional infrastructure, including a new pier and expanded facilities.

Outside Florida, Norwegian Dawn will return to Jacksonville in November 2027 for a second season of short Bahamas itineraries, while Norwegian Pearl will continue year-round deployment from Philadelphia with voyages to Bermuda, the Bahamas, and the Eastern and Southern Caribbean.

On the Gulf Coast, Norwegian Escape will homeport in Galveston and Norwegian Getaway in New Orleans, both operating seven-night Western Caribbean itineraries.

The winter programme also includes continued Mexican Riviera sailings from Los Angeles aboard Norwegian Encore, as well as an extensive Asia deployment by Norwegian Jade.

These Asian itineraries will range from nine to 14 nights and include multiple departures from Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Singapore, with overnight stays in ports such as Kobe and Hong Kong.

In Australia and New Zealand, Norwegian Spirit will return for its fifth consecutive season, offering voyages of up to 21 days from Sydney, Auckland, and Singapore, including overnight stays in several Australian cities.

Alongside the deployment announcement, the cruise line confirmed the return of its Free at Sea Plus package for sailings departing from February 1st, 2026 onwards. The add-on expands on the existing Free at Sea programme and includes additional onboard and island-based amenities.
