A Christmas tree lit up at night in front of St Stephen’s Church in Budapest, Hungary
Explora Journeys will celebrate the festive season in the Caribbean under the theme Currents of Connection, bringing together guests aboard Explora I and Explora II for voyages that emphasise reflection, discovery, and reconnection.
The seasonal programme will run across Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve, combining the tranquillity of the ocean with curated experiences designed to embrace the passage of time in a meaningful way.
Inspired by the ocean currents that connect distant shores, the Currents of Connection concept embodies the spirit of unity and continuity that characterises Explora Journeys’ philosophy.
Guests will experience a blend of traditional and contemporary celebrations, including festive feasts, gala dinners and creative activities, such as gingerbread house crafting.
The atmosphere aboard will be one of warmth and relaxation, enhanced by wellness sessions focused on gratitude and intention setting, alongside evenings of live music, mixology workshops, and open-air film screenings beneath the stars.
Explora I and Explora II will sail itineraries ranging from seven to seventeen nights, calling at ports that showcase the diversity of the Caribbean. In Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, guests can begin the day with a swim in the turquoise waters of Magen’s Bay before browsing local markets and exploring historical landmarks.
Terre-de-Haut in Les Saintes, Guadeloupe, offers a tranquil escape with its pastel houses and bougainvillea-lined streets, while Bridgetown, Barbados, combines colonial heritage with lively culture and a deep-rooted rum tradition.
Fort-de-France, Martinique, invites exploration of its French-Caribbean charm, and Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis, offers Georgian architecture and opportunities for hiking, snorkelling, and kayaking.
The festivities will culminate in moments that capture the season’s spirit, from watching fireworks over San Juan’s skyline to toasting at sea as the new year approaches.
Each destination will add to a narrative of connection and renewal, turning the holidays into a seamless experience rather than a countdown.
Across every destination, guests will be encouraged to engage with local culture, cuisine, and history, discovering the deeper ties that unite people and places across the Caribbean.
