Cunard Line announces 2026 Le Gavroche at Sea residencies with Michel Roux

Cunard Line has confirmed that Michel Roux will return to its newest ship, Queen Anne, in 2026 for a third season of Le Gavroche at Sea residencies.

The two Michelin-starred chef will host four exclusive dining experiences on board, with three scheduled during the 7-night Norwegian Fjords voyages in May, August and November, and a fourth during a sailing to Iceland and the British Isles in July.

The collaboration, which first launched in 2024, has proven popular with Cunard guests.

The 2025 residencies are already sold out, reflecting sustained interest in Roux’s at-sea adaptation of his former London restaurant, Le Gavroche, which closed in early 2024 after more than five decades in operation.

Queen Anne

“Le Gavroche at Sea has quickly become one of the highlights of our voyages, and we’re thrilled to welcome Michel back to Queen Anne for a third season,” said Katie McAlister, President of Cunard Line. “His passion for creating memorable dining experiences is a perfect match for Cunard’s commitment to excellence. Our guests often tell us how special these evenings are – and we expect 2026 to be even more unforgettable.”

Each residency will feature a five-course tasting menu curated by Roux and served at Sir Samuels, the ship’s specialty dining venue. The menu is limited to 50 guests per evening and focuses on seafood, using ingredients inspired by the ship’s itinerary.

In addition to the tasting menu, guests on board will also find enhanced seafood offerings at Carinthia Lounge, where a pop-up Oysters at Carinthia will serve Norwegian seafood every evening throughout the Le Gavroche voyages.

Chef Michel Roux with Cunard chefs

Michel Roux will also appear in Cunard’s Royal Court Theatre for a live cooking demonstration, and as an Insight Speaker, where he will discuss his culinary career and philosophy. Book signing sessions are also planned during the sailings.

“Bringing Le Gavroche to sea with Cunard has been an absolute joy,” said Michel Roux. “The warmth of the guests, the elegance of the ships, and the shared love of fine dining make it something truly unique.”

“I’m delighted to return next year and to once again share the spirit of Le Gavroche in such a spectacular setting. Each residency is a chance to connect, to create, and to celebrate food in a way that’s both refined and relaxed,” he added.

The Le Gavroche at Sea residencies form part of Cunard’s broader strategy to integrate destination-focused culinary programming and high-profile collaborations into its newbuild offerings.
