MSC World America to debut new LEGO play experiences and shows for families

MSC Cruises‘ new World class cruise ship, MSC World America will offer an array of new facilities and activities for families, including the line’s largest and most technologically advanced kids’ area yet, when she is introduced in April 2025.

Spanning  seven rooms and catering to guests ages 0-17, the kids areas will also offer a new program developed with LEGO, MSC said in a press release.

“We set ourselves the goal to create the most exceptional kids and family offering at sea with MSC World America,” said Head of Entertainment, Steve Leatham.

“Our aim is to give our smallest guests the freedom to express their creativity, play, socialise and explore with amazing spaces and programs that have to be seen to be believed,” he added.

According to Senior Manager of Youth Entertainment, Matteo Mancini, MSC Cruises has created the children’s areas aboard MSC World America based on the feedback of young guests from North America.

“We are bringing a variety of extraordinary facilities and new experiences never seen before,” he said.

These brand-new activities and experiences include a range of offerings as a result of MSC Cruises’ partnership with LEGO, the toy brick maker. There will be a LEGO Parade throughout the ship, a LEGO Family Zone, and a LEGO game show.

There will also be a Boxes Family Game Show, where families can compete against each other, completing mystery challenges contained within locked boxes. The Doremix Family Disco will offer a venue for parents and children to party together, and high-tech experiences elsewhere on the ship will keep teenagers entertained.

These include Star Shooters, which tasks participants with hitting a target to secure points for victory while Virtual Reality at Luna Park will give guests access to the latest VR technology experiences.

MSC World America will also feature a high ropes course called Harbour, a new Cliffhanger attraction, the only over-water swing ride at sea, a family dwelling area and a playground modeled after the lighthouse at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve in The Bahamas.

MSC World America is the second vessel in MSC Cruises’ celebrated World-class, which debuted with the MSC World Europa in 2022. World Europa and World America are the lagest cruise ships ever built for MSC Cruises, featuring 11 restuarants, 15 bars and cafes, three pool areas, a casino, gym and spa, an 11-deck dry slide and more.
