MSC World Europa to feature largest dedicated kids’ area in the fleet

MSC Cruises has revealed a number of entertainment facilities and activities for families aboard its new mega-ship MSC World Europa, including the largest kids club in the fleet.

The Dubai-bound MSC World Europa will boast a 766sqm kids club with seven distinct spaces for different age groups, from babies to 17-year-olds.

That’s in addition to a drone academy, a LEGO room, a video game arcade, various game shows and a diverse sports program.

MSC World Europa is due for delivery in December and will spend her inaugural cruise season sailing roundtrip from Dubai in the Arabian Gulf. She will be the largest cruise ship ever to homeport in Dubai, and the largest ever to spend a full cruise season in the Middle East.

“We have invested heavily in the entertainment offering for our younger guests, and we know they value the latest technology, trends and experiences,” says Matteo Mancini, Kids’ Entertainment Manager, MSC Cruises. “We have worked to introduce real innovations in both the design of the facilities as well as the development of an incredible program of activities, all carefully planned to ensure that the differing needs of all age groups are met – from our youngest guests through to teenagers.”

The kids club aboard MSC World Europa will have four broad categories (Baby Club for toddlers up to 3 years, Mini Club for 3 to 8, Juniors Club for 9 to 12, Young Club and a Teen Club for 13- to 17-year-olds).

The Teen Club will include a brand-new TEENS LAB, an immersive, tech-filled, modern room just for teens with 21 of the latest consoles, seven VR stations and more than 50 different videogames. This space will also be available to the Juniors and Young Clubs.

Other noteworthy kids spaces and experiences aboard the ship will be the LEGO Celebration Room, marking 90 years since the brand was launched. It will tie-in with the LEGO Experience Onboard, an activity by which children can build with LEGO bricks and receive a diploma, certifying that they are a Junior LEGO Master Builder.

MSC Cruises has also developed two gameshows for its new ship, 3, 2, 1 Knock Out, a music-based gameshow featuring K-pop and Japanese games, and Beat the Music, a digital game show that families can play through an app: parents work to identify the latest music their kids are listening to, while kids work to name the classics their parents love the most.

MSC World Europa will also offer Z Active, a new sports program for kids and teens including football, basketball, zorb ball and, for the first time on board, pickleball and hoverboards, as well as Drone Academy 2.0, a high-energy drone relay race with POV cameras and VR to the experience to life while navigating 15 obstacles in the quickest time possible.

MSC Cruises has dedicated childcare services to give parents the freedom to enjoy the ship, safe in the knowledge that their children are being cared for by dedicated and highly trained staff.
