MSC Cruises reveals entertainment options aboard new MSC World Europa

MSC Cruises has revealed new shows and entertainment options aboard its largest-ever cruise ship, MSC World Europa, which will debut in Qatar in November.

MSC World Europa will debut with three new concert-style shows in the multipurpose Luna Park Arena, five new full-scale theatre productions in the World Theatre, four themed experiences in the Panorama Lounge, and pop-up live exhibits throughout the ship.

The new Luna Park Arena will be a versatile, multifunctional entertainment venue where guests are encouraged to participate in shows that range from K-pop to Dance Music, stunt shows, and dance classes.

The venue will have entirely separate daytime and nighttime uses. During the day, there will be a VR Drone academy, a Digital Dance Academy with Strictly Come Dancing champion Flavia Cacace-Mistry, and two new large-scale interactive gameshows.

At night, it will become a concert hall with three new productions: Symphonic Ibiza, Supershow, and Crimson Club. These shows will offer dance music, K-Pop and a movie-themed stunt experience.

In the ship’s main theatre there will be five new original large-scale shows focused on exploration, travel, the sea, theatre, and sustainability. The shows will have LED visuals, impressive scenery and props, an E-Bike Stunt Wheel, Broadway classic show tunes, and circus and magical elements based on Beatles songs.

In the Panorama Lounge, MSC will combine technology and entertainment, with interactive screens during the day that will project guests’ drawings onto the lounge’s floor, while at night four immersive 90-minute music experiences will take place, with live bands, dancers, singers, aerialists, and acrobats.

There will also be surprise pop-up entertainment such as street theatre, musicians, and even inflatables throughout the ship.

“The brand-new interactive entertainment featured on board MSC World Europa will be unlike anything that our guests have ever experienced, combining futuristic technology and unique specially designed venues,” said Steve Leatham, Global Head of Entertainment, MSC Cruises.

“From surprise moments that will take place during the entirety of the cruise to spectacular shows and state-of the-art venues, our guests will be blown away by the abundance of fantastic entertainment options on board as they find themselves at the heart of productions and immerse themselves in incredible performances and activities,” he added.

In addition to these entertainment options, MSC World Europa will also offer fleet’s largest waterpark with VR technology, roller disco, rock & roll bingo, bumper cars, and the largest dry slide at sea. The Venom Drop @ The Spiral spans 11 decks and drops from the stern of the sun deck to the promenade.

MSC World Europa will be the largest cruise ship ever named in the Middle East when she is officially comissioned into the MSC fleet in Doha, Qatar on November 13th. She’ll remain in Qatar operating as floating hotel throughout the FIFA 2022 World Cup, before repositioning to Dubai.

From December to March, 2023, MSC World Europa will sail a season of 7-night roundtrip cruises out of Dubai, visiting Abu Dhabi and Sir Bani Yas Island in the UAE, Doha in Qatar, Dammam in Saudi Arabia and Muscat in Oman.
