Seabourn 2029 World Cruise to feature Cape Town overnight and exclusive event

Seabourn will include an overnight stay in Cape Town and an exclusive shoreside event in the city during its 138-day 2029 World Cruise.

The Seabourn Quest itinerary will also visit Zanzibar and Walvis Bay as part of an extensive African programme during the Miami-to-Lisbon voyage, which is scheduled to operate from January 7th to May 26th, 2029.

In Cape Town, passengers sailing the complete World Cruise will attend an exclusive evening at the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCAA).

The event will include private after-hours access to the museum, regional cuisine, live entertainment, and views of Table Mountain.

Cape Town is one of eight destinations where Seabourn Quest will make an overnight call during the voyage, alongside Lima, Easter Island, Bora Bora, Bali, Singapore, Sydney, and Zanzibar.

Walvis Bay in Namibia will also feature an extended stay.

In total, the 2029 World Cruise will cover more than 32,000 nautical miles and visit 58 destinations across 31 countries and territories on five continents. The itinerary includes 32 islands and more than 25 UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

“Our 2029 World Cruise exemplifies the type of extraordinary travel experiences that define Seabourn,” said Mark Tamis, President, Seabourn.

“This voyage combines globally celebrated destinations with some of the world’s most remote and fascinating places, creating opportunities for deeper discovery and meaningful cultural connection. From exclusive shoreside events and immersive experiences to the personalized service and intimacy that set Seabourn apart, every element of this journey has been thoughtfully designed to inspire and enrich our guests,” he added.

The itinerary will take Seabourn Quest through the Americas, South Pacific, New Zealand, Australia, Southeast Asia, Indian Ocean, Africa, and Europe.

Among the destinations are Bora Bora, Easter Island, Nuku Hiva in the Marquesas Islands, Praslin in the Seychelles, Antsiranana in Madagascar, Akaroa in New Zealand, and Burnie in Tasmania.

The World Cruise includes 20 extended stays, eight of which are overnight calls. Passengers will also have opportunities to visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites including Easter Island, Fiordland National Park, the Stone Town of Zanzibar, and the Sacred City of Kandy.

Optional overland programmes will offer visits to destinations including the Galápagos Islands, Machu Picchu, Uluru, the Taj Mahal, African safari destinations, and Easter Island.

Passengers sailing the full voyage will also receive an included two-day, one-night land programme in Bali, featuring cultural and culinary experiences and visits to local villages.

At sea, the programme will include destination-focused enrichment, expert speakers through Seabourn Conversations, culinary events, cultural performances, and entertainment linked to regions visited during the voyage.

Seabourn Quest recently completed a drydock that included updates to suites, public areas, dining venues, and spa facilities.

Bookings for the 2029 World Cruise are now open, with Seabourn also planning to offer shorter extended voyage segments.
