Seabourn Cruise’s Sojourn will reprise round-trip Cape Town cruises in 2019

Seabourn Cruise Line will be returning its luxury liner Seabourn Sojourn to South Africa in 2019, with two Cape Town cruise departures planned, one of which will be a roundtrip from Cape Town.

Seabourn Sojourn has been deployed on the South African cruise run for several years running, with an annual roundtrip Cape Town cruise followed by a grand voyage to Australia or Southeast Asia.

The 2019 cruise season will stick with this tradition. On February 21^st, 2019, Seabourn Sojourn will depart from the Mother City on a 12-night Cape Town to Cape Town cruise.

She’ll visit Port Elizabeth and Mossel Bay in South Africa, as well as Lüderitz and Walvis Bay in Namibia. The ‘South Africa & The Skeleton Coast’ itinerary is different from most other Cape Town cruises in the year, not just because it has a rather evocative name, but also because it is an extremely port-heavy itinerary.

While Sojourn will spend two nights at sea in the Indian Ocean between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth and then again between PE and Mossel Bay, with a nice three day stretch between Mossel Bay and Walvis Bay, she’ll also overnight in port more often than any other cruise ship in the market.

For instance, Sojourn will overnight in Cape Town on the first night of the cruise, she’ll then overnight in Port Elizabeth, the first port of call, and in Walvis Bay she’ll spend a full two days and a night at the berth.

Seabourn Sojourn will return to Cape Town on March 5^th, 2019, doing a quick turnaround at the newly renovated Cape Town Cruise Terminal before setting off on her second Cape Town cruise of the year, a grand 95-night voyage to Vancouver, Canada.

This extraordinary cruise, although no doubt tempting to you, comes in at a starting price of US $39,499, but there are shorter legs available as well.

There is a 20-night option (US $8,299) that ends in Male, in the Maldives, 36-nights ending in Singapore, 54-nights ending in Shanghai, or 72-nights ending in Kobe, Japan.

This will be your last chance for at least a year to cruise roundtrip from Cape Town with Seabourn, as the cruise line is 2020 has only scheduled Cape Town as a turnaround and embarkation port for some of the legs of Seabourn Sojourns 2020 World Cruise.
