Regent Seven Seas Cruises has revealed new details of the outdoor spaces aboard Seven Seas Prestige, introducing its first dedicated sports deck alongside a redesigned pool deck ahead of the ship’s December debut.
The line’s first new ship class in a decade will introduce the Solara Sports Deck, Regent’s first purpose-built and named sports deck, alongside a redesigned Solara Pool Deck that expands the ship’s outdoor leisure and wellness offering.
Located on Deck 14, the Solara Sports Deck has been developed in partnership with SMC Architects and combines traditional outdoor activities with new wellness and digital entertainment features.
The venue will include a full-size padel and pickleball court, an 18-hole putting green, dedicated areas for sunrise and sunset yoga, and Regent’s first digital gaming experience through Conductr Supercharged Shuffleboard units.
The sports deck has also been designed to serve as a social space beyond organised activities. Rather than using conventional sports netting, the courts are framed by timber-effect architectural features, integrated planting and relaxation areas intended to blend with the ship’s wider design.
Custom LED lighting will allow the venue to remain in use after dark, with the space transitioning into an evening gathering area for games and stargazing.
An aft pavilion will offer additional recreational activities, including digital shuffleboard, mini bowling, chess, table tennis, and baggo, alongside seating areas for guests who prefer a more relaxed setting.
The wellness component marks another first for Regent, with open-air spaces dedicated to yoga and stretching sessions at sunrise and sunset.
“Seven Seas Prestige will raise the bar for the ultra-luxury travel experience, and the Solara Sports Deck is a testament to how we are rethinking every inch of our new ship class,” said Wesley D’Silva, President, Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
“Our guests value a seamless blend of active wellness and refined leisure. By partnering with world-class architects, we’ve created a sleek outdoor environment that is as beautiful as it is functional, allowing our guests to unwind or play against the backdrop of the world’s most iconic horizons,” he added.
Complementing the sports facilities is the Solara Pool Deck on Deck 12, which centres around a 48-foot by 29-foot swimming pool flanked by two whirlpool spas.
The pool area incorporates a two-tier sunbed layout inspired by Regent’s Explorer-class ships, maximising deck space while providing additional seating and sunbathing areas.
Adjacent to the pool, the Solara Pool Grill will feature an artisanal pizzeria alongside casual dining options, while the Solara Pool Bar will serve beverages as part of Regent’s all-inclusive offering.
The upper pool deck on Deck 14 will also provide direct access to two of the ship’s speciality restaurants: Pacific Rim, which returns from previous Regent ships, and Azure, a new Mediterranean concept centred on mezze-style dining.
“When designing Seven Seas Prestige’s Solara Sports Deck and Solara Pool Deck, our goal was to bridge the gap between outdoor fitness and boutique hotel elegance,” said Matt Fyvie, SMC Design.
The Solara Sports Deck will remain open around the clock and host organised tournaments, social activities and scheduled wellness classes from the ship’s maiden voyage onwards.
Seven Seas Prestige represents Regent’s first new class of ships in ten years. At 77,000 gross tons, the vessel is approximately 40 per cent larger than the line’s existing ships while accommodating only around 10 per cent more guests.
The ship will carry 822 guests across 411 all-balcony suites, supported by 630 crew members, and will feature 11 dining venues, including the new Azure restaurant.
Seven Seas Prestige is scheduled to enter service on December 13th, 2026, departing Barcelona on a 14-night transatlantic crossing to Miami before beginning an inaugural season in the Caribbean, Panama Canal, Iberian Peninsula, and France.
