Crystal has released new renderings of The Bistro aboard its upcoming cruise ship Crystal Grace.
The premium dining venue will become the largest of the line’s three bistro concepts when the vessel enters service in 2028.
Located midship on Deck 5, The Bistro has been designed as an all-day venue offering coffee, tea, light snacks, and sweet treats in a relaxed lounge setting. The space will accommodate 65 guests in its main lounge, with seating for a further 22 guests in an adjacent area.
The cruise line said the venue will introduce several new elements to the concept, including a curated selection of gelato from Italian producer Badiani and a menu of warm savoury dishes that will be offered when the ship is sailing in colder-weather destinations.
The Bistro is the latest onboard venue to be revealed for Crystal Grace, which is scheduled to make its debut on June 11th, 2028. The ship forms part of Crystal’s ongoing fleet expansion programme and is expected to maintain the line’s emphasis on smaller-ship luxury cruising and high levels of personalised service.
The new renderings suggest an evolution of the bistro concept already found across the Crystal fleet, with an emphasis on lounge-style seating and flexible spaces that can cater to guests throughout the day rather than during traditional meal periods.
The unveiling follows Crystal’s earlier release of details surrounding the ship’s speciality dining programme. In April, the company revealed that Crystal Grace will feature three signature restaurants developed in partnership with established culinary brands and chefs.
Among them is Umi Uma, created in collaboration with chef Nobu Matsuhisa. Located on Deck 5, the Japanese-Peruvian restaurant will accommodate 84 guests and feature both a reservation-based dining room and a sushi bar for more informal dining.
Osteria d’Ovidio, situated on Deck 10, will continue Crystal’s partnership with chefs Massimiliano and Raffaele Alajmo. The restaurant will offer seating for 68 guests indoors and an additional 20 guests on an outdoor terrace.
Adjacent to it, Beefbar will return as part of the line’s collaboration with restaurateur Riccardo Giraudi. The venue will include seating for 56 guests indoors and a larger outdoor terrace accommodating 58 guests, with a menu centred on a contemporary steakhouse concept combining meat, seafood, and plant-based dishes.
Together, the venues indicate a broadening of Crystal’s culinary programme aboard Crystal Grace, with dining spaces ranging from speciality restaurants to more informal all-day lounges.
Following its debut in June 2028, Crystal Grace will depart on an inaugural voyage from Civitavecchia (Rome), calling at Sorrento, Igoumenitsa, Kotor, Split, Zadar, and Trieste before continuing to Venice and commencing its first Mediterranean season.
