Upgraded cabin designs for Oceania Marina
Oceania Cruises will undertake a comprehensive refurbishment of Oceania Marina in October 2026 as part of a broader fleetwide upgrade strategy.
The work will involve a full redesign of all staterooms, alongside upgrades to public areas, dining venues, and onboard facilities.
The refit and refurbishment project marks the first phase of enhancements under the OceaniaNEXT programme, a long-term initiative aimed at standardising the onboard experience across the fleet and aligning existing ships with upcoming newbuilds.
The refurbishment is intended to bring Oceania Marina’s interiors and facilities in line with the company’s current design direction, while maintaining its established focus on cuisine, destination-driven itineraries, and service delivery.
“At Oceania Cruises, raising the bar is not an initiative – it is our mindset,” said Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer, Oceania Cruises. “We are constantly refining the guest experience, from elevating our culinary offerings to creating more intimate, immersive ways to explore the world’s most iconic destinations.”
“With OceaniaNEXT, we are reaffirming our commitment to modern luxury by ensuring every ship in our fleet reflects the refined style, attention to detail and thoughtful innovation that define our brand,” he added.
The planned upgrades will see all staterooms reconfigured with new layouts, updated furnishings, and redesigned bathrooms incorporating marble finishes and rainfall showers. Higher-category accommodation, including Penthouse, Oceania, Vista, and Owner’s Suites, will also be refreshed to maintain consistency with previous enhancements introduced across the fleet.
Public areas are set to undergo a comprehensive update, with new furnishings, lighting schemes, and carpeting aimed at creating a more cohesive onboard environment. The Grand Lounge will be expanded to include a new Founders Bar concept, designed as a dedicated cocktail venue.
Dining facilities will also be upgraded, with improvements to signature restaurants including Polo Grill, Red Ginger, Toscana, and Jacques, supported by updated galley infrastructure.
A new Chef’s Studio will replace the existing Artist Loft, expanding the ship’s culinary demonstration and tasting programme. In addition, Baristas, the ship’s coffee venue, will be enhanced with the introduction of an onboard bakery offering pastries and baked items throughout the day.
Outdoor areas will see the installation of new sun loungers and day beds on the pool deck, while the broader refurbishment is expected to integrate both aesthetic and functional improvements across the vessel.
While the scope of the physical upgrades is extensive, the company indicated that its core service model will remain unchanged, with a continued emphasis on personalised service and consistency of onboard delivery.
The refurbishment of Oceania Marina represents the initial step in a wider programme of enhancements planned across the fleet, as the brand moves to align its existing ships with its next generation of vessels and evolving guest expectations.
