Margaritaville at Sea introduces bridge wing suites aboard new Beachcomber

Margaritaville at Sea has introduced a new accommodation category aboard its upcoming ship Beachcomber with the addition of two bridge wing suites positioned directly above the vessel’s navigation bridge.

The suites, located forward on Deck 9, represent the largest accommodation units planned across the company’s fleet and are intended to provide guests with a vantage point typically reserved for ship command areas. The two suites have been named after songs associated with the Margaritaville brand, Captain and the Kid and Son of a Son of a Sailor.

The accommodation concept places the suites directly above the ship’s bridge wings, offering wide ocean views from a position usually occupied by navigational equipment and operational spaces.

“These suites were designed to tell a story as much as offer a place to stay,” said Martha Brabham, Vice President Design, Margaritaville at Sea.

“From their elevated location above the bridge to design elements rooted in seafaring tales, every detail deepens the guest’s connection to life at sea. By offering only two Bridge Wing Suites, we’re creating an exclusive, distinctive experience within our portfolio,” Brabham added.

The suites will feature indoor and outdoor living areas, including large terraces intended for private use. Guests booking the accommodation will also have access to concierge services and priority embarkation and disembarkation procedures.

Outdoor dining service is planned as part of the experience, with breakfast and dinner served on the suite terraces. The line said the terraces are designed to function as private outdoor spaces with unobstructed sea views.

Passengers staying in the suites may also be offered an opportunity to visit the ship’s bridge during their voyage, providing a view of the vessel’s navigation and operational areas located directly beneath the accommodation.

The new suites build on the Grand Terrace Suite category already planned for Beachcomber, which also includes larger private outdoor areas and suite-level services compared with standard staterooms.

Beachcomber will be the newest and largest ship in the Margaritaville at Sea fleet when it enters service. The vessel will operate itineraries departing from PortMiami beginning in 2027.

The deployment will include voyages of four to eight nights in the Eastern and Southern Caribbean. The programme reflects the company’s shift toward longer sailings compared with its earlier short-cruise model.

The introduction of larger suite accommodation is consistent with a broader trend across the cruise sector, where operators are expanding premium and suite-level offerings even on ships targeting leisure-focused or casual cruise markets.

Such accommodation categories often command significantly higher fares than standard cabins while occupying relatively small portions of the ship’s total capacity, allowing cruise lines to increase revenue per passenger while maintaining overall berth numbers.

Beachcomber’s new suites therefore form part of a wider strategy to broaden accommodation choices as the company expands its deployment beyond short-duration cruises.
