Royal Caribbean reveals cultural and artistic elements on Royal Beach Club Paradise Island

Royal Caribbean International has provided further information about Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, its new waterfront facility near Port of Nassau in the Bahamas set to open later this year.

In addition to outlining guest amenities, the cruise line has also announced that 11 Bahamian artists will contribute original artworks across the site.

Spanning 17 acres, Royal Beach Club Paradise Island will include seven bars, three swimming pools and three swim-up bars for guests purchasing an unlimited dining and open-bar pass. Two distinct beach areas, Chill Beach and Family Beach, and an entertainment-focused Party Cove will form the main zones.

Party Cove will feature Floating Flamingo, which Royal Caribbean describes as the world’s largest swim-up bar. Stretching 221 feet in length, the company notes it is longer than the Leaning Tower of Pisa is tall. Family Beach will centre around the 9,000-square-foot Shallow End Pool, and Chill Beach will include the Deep End Pool with more than 208,000 gallons of water.

A VIP Beach Day package is planned with private areas such as ten daybeds and 29 cabanas. An Ultimate Family Cabana will provide more than 2,000 square feet of space, which Royal Caribbean said is three times larger than a standard one-bedroom apartment. Prices for admission are expected to start at US$139.99 per person.

As part of a wider strategy to involve local creators in destination development, Royal Caribbean has selected 11 Bahamian artists through its Artist Discovery Program. They will receive grants to create murals and sculptures in 25 locations throughout the beach club.

“We could not be more excited to share the Artist Discovery Program cohort for Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, a group of local artists who have a true passion for their craft and their home, The Bahamas,” said Philip Simon, President, Royal Caribbean Group Bahamas. “Bahamian culture is known to be vibrant and dynamic, and the pieces created by these artists will reflect the lively energy and beautiful landscape of The Bahamas throughout the destination.”

The artworks will reflect three themes: Underwater Adventures, highlighting marine life; Junkanoo Jubilee, focused on music and festive culture; and Bahama Bliss, depicting relaxation and coastal scenery.

Among the featured artists are Allan Wallace, whose 22-foot-tall Junkanoo-inspired mural will serve as an entry focal point, and portrait artist Deldra Sands, who will design a vintage postcard-style piece and a flamingo sculpture. Additional artists include Minolta Butler, June Collie, Preston Hanna, Amaani Hepburn, Chaavanté Newton, John Paul, Lamaro Smith, Edrin Symonette and Angelika Wallace-Whitfield.

Construction of Royal Beach Club Paradise Island is in its final phase. The venue is scheduled to welcome first guests on December 23rd, 2025. Royal Caribbean has said the location will be the first in a series of similar beach clubs planned for the Caribbean and Europe.
