Royal Caribbean International has officially opened its new private destination, Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, in The Bahamas, welcoming the first guests this week.
Located on Paradise Island near Nassau, the beach club is now accessible to passengers arriving on Royal Caribbean ships calling at the port, with day passes available for purchase directly through the cruise line.
The destination is positioned as an all-inclusive shore experience, combining beach facilities, dining, and entertainment within a single controlled environment.
“Guests told us they were looking for more ways to make the most of their vacations in The Bahamas, and that’s exactly what we’ve created with Royal Beach Club Paradise Island,” said Michael Bayley, President and CEO of Royal Caribbean. “Whether it’s a chill day on the island’s two pristine beaches or the ultimate beach party at the world’s largest swim-up bar, we’ve crafted a destination that caters to every mood.”
“The opening of our first Royal Beach Club introduces a bold new kind of beach experience, and it’s just the start of what’s to come in our growing destination portfolio,” he added.
The site features two beaches and three swimming pools, each designed to serve different visitor preferences. Among the key attractions is The Floating Flamingo, described by the company as the world’s largest swim-up bar, alongside The Deep End pool and The Shallow End, a zero-entry pool aimed at families.
The development also includes multiple dining outlets and waterfront bars, live music venues, and retail spaces operated by local artisans.
The complex is organised into three primary zones catering to different visitor groups.
Family Beach includes shallow water facilities, beach games, and access to what the company has termed the Ultimate Family Cabana, a two-level private cabana equipped with a whirlpool, slide and dedicated service staff.
Chill Beach offers quieter areas along the shoreline and poolside spaces for guests seeking a more relaxed environment, while Party Cove centres around the Floating Flamingo bar and adjacent entertainment deck.
Transportation between Nassau and the beach club is provided by a fleet of five water ferries, with day passes including access to amenities such as loungers, umbrellas, lockers, towels, and Wi-Fi. Food and beverages across the site are included within the pass structure.
Royal Beach Club Paradise Island is the second destination operated by Royal Caribbean in The Bahamas, joining Perfect Day at CocoCay, and forms part of the company’s wider destination development programme, which includes planned openings of Royal Beach Club Cozumel and Royal Beach Club Santorini in 2026, Royal Beach Club Lelepa in early 2027, and Perfect Day Mexico in late 2027.
With cruise lines increasingly investing in controlled onshore infrastructure, the opening of Royal Beach Club Paradise Island represents a further step in the integration of private destinations into mainstream cruise itineraries in the Caribbean region.
