Vibe Beach Club to debut aboard Norwegian Pearl and Jewel following refit

Norwegian Cruise Line has confirmed that two of its Jewel-class ships, Norwegian Jewel and Norwegian Pearl, will undergo revitalisations this autumn that will introduce the adults-only Vibe Beach Club.

The new venue will replace an additional sundeck separate from the main pool on Deck 14 of both vessels, and feature 54 premium lounge chairs, seven private cabanas, and an additional hot tub.

According to Norwegian Cruise Line, guests can expect a quiet atmosphere with ocean views, a full-service bar, personalised service, chilled towels, and fruit skewers.

“The new enhancements aboard the two Jewel-Class ships showcase NCL’s commitment to delivering guests more to do and more to enjoy while offering the freedom and flexibility to design their very best vacation,” the company said in a release.

Pre-bookings for cabanas and passes are now open. Norwegian Jewel will receive the new venue during its drydock scheduled between September 25th and October 15th, 2025, before resuming service from PortMiami on Panama Canal and Caribbean itineraries.

Norwegian Pearl will undergo its upgrade between and November 3rd and 23rd, 2025, followed by cruises to the Bahamas, Caribbean and Panama Canal, also from Miami.

The itineraries for both ships will include calls at Great Stirrup Cay, Norwegian’s private island in the Bahamas.

The destination is currently undergoing redevelopment, with a new pier and welcome centre due later this year and a six-acre waterpark planned to open in 2026.

The refit and refurbishments aboard Norwegian Jewel and Norwegian Pearl come amid a fleetwide revitalisation programme undertaken by the cruise line, which in recent years has included major overhauls for Norwegian Epic, Norwegian Breakaway, Norwegian Encore, Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Getaway, Norwegian Joy, Norwegian Spirit and Norwegian Sky.

Across these ships, work has ranged from the introduction of new dining venues, cinemas and beach clubs to redesigned staterooms, expanded public areas and upgraded entertainment facilities, underscoring Norwegian Cruise Line’s push to modernise its fleet and standardise experiences across different classes of vessel.

Built in 2005 and 2006, Norwegian Jewel and Norwegian Pearl are among the original quartet of Jewel-class cruise ships constructed by Meyer Werft.

Norwegian Jewel offers 10 restaurants, 13 bars and lounges including Bliss Ultra Lounge, along with Starlink internet, a casino, spa, pools, fitness centre, library, games room and The Haven suites, while Norwegian Pearl features comparable amenities with varied dining, Mandara Spa, Bliss Ultra Lounge, Maltings Beer & Whiskey Bar, 24-hour O’Sheehan’s, Starlink internet and a wide range of entertainment and relaxation spaces.
