Royal Caribbean International has released new details about the entertainment and dining experiences that will be available aboard its second Icon-class ship, Star of the Seas, scheduled to debut in August 2025.
The ship, one of the largest in the world at 225,000 gross tons, will feature a range of productions, live music, high-diving shows, and new dining venues, including several additions to the AquaDome Market food hall.
Entertainment on Star of the Seas will include five signature shows spanning stage, water, air, and ice. Among the new offerings is Back to the Future: The Musical, which will make its at-sea debut after a run on Broadway.
Other shows include high-diving and acrobatics in the AquaTheatre, as well as ice-skating performances at the Absolute Zero rink.
More than 40 dining venues and bars will be available on board, including returning favourites and new concepts.
Three new food stands will open in AquaDome Market, serving regional dishes from Southeast Asia and South America, as well as barbecue. Additional options include Surfside Eatery for families, Basecamp in Thrill Island, and Windjammer, the largest buffet in the fleet.
“At Royal Caribbean, we know that dining and entertainment are at the heart of our guests’ vacation experiences and memories,” said Kara Wallace, Chief Marketing Officer, Royal Caribbean. “With the Icon Class lineup redefining what it means to vacation, Star of the Seas pushes the boundaries of flavours and entertainment with a mix of brand-new and fan-favourite offerings.”
Entertainment line-up
At Royal Theatre, Create will follow the journey of a robot named KRE-8 through a mix of music, dance, and visual arts, while in the AquaTheatre, Pirates & Mermaids will combine swimming, diving and performance in a story-led show designed for families.
Other performances include Torque, an acrobatic and stunt-focused show at AquaTheatre, and SOL, a new production on ice tracing the sun’s path with visual effects and skating performances.

The musical adaptation of Back to the Future will be the headline production, featuring classic songs, choreography, and special effects, accompanied by the largest live orchestra at sea.
Night-time entertainment includes comedy performances at The Attic, karaoke, and Casino Royale. There will be over 20 bars and lounges on board, including venues such as Dueling Pianos, Rye & Bean, Lou’s, and Bubbles in Central Park.
Dining concepts
A new addition among the more than 40 restaurants, cafes, and bars, is Lincoln Park Supper Club in the Central Park neighbourhood. The venue will offer a multi-course menu paired with live jazz and cocktails, inspired by Chicago dining venues of the 1930s.
Other dining options include Chops Grille for steak, Izumi Hibachi & Sushi, and Celebration Table, a private group dining venue. Guests can choose from more than 12 cuisines daily across the ship’s various restaurants.

Star of the Seas will operate 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises, including calls to Royal Caribbean’s private destination Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas. Starting in December 2025, the ship will also call at Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, part of the Royal Beach Club Collection.
