Norwegian Cruise Line expands entertainment offerings with four new productions

Norwegian Cruise Line has unveiled four new entertainment productions set to debut across nine ships by September 2025, marking a significant expansion of its onboard programming.

The upcoming productions—Red, White & BritishBring Back the 90sICONS: The Bands, and Ignite the Night—were developed at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings’ Creative Studios in Tampa, Florida, in partnership with leading industry creatives.

As part of the cruise line’s revised entertainment strategy, these shows aim to deliver immersive storytelling, popular music, and dynamic performances across multiple venues, enhancing the guest experience beyond the main theater.

The new shows will debut across nine ships in the fleet

“NCL has long been recognized for its industry-leading entertainment, with Broadway-caliber productions and world-class talent,” said Bryan A. White, Vice President of Entertainment Production at Norwegian Cruise Line. “These new shows, exclusive to our fleet, will further elevate our offerings, providing guests with fresh, unforgettable experiences that set us apart in the industry.”

Red, White & British, a tribute to British artists who influenced American music, was created in collaboration with Burn the Floor. Featuring a glam rock segment honoring David Bowie and Queen, the production blends striking visuals, intricate choreography, and elaborate costumes. It will premiere on Norwegian Breakaway on March 14th, 2025, followed by Norwegian Epic on May 14th and Norwegian Prima on August 24th.

Bring Back the 90s, will transport audiences back to the decade’s defining music, fashion, and pop culture. Featuring hits from Alanis Morissette, Salt-N-Pepa, and Destiny’s Child, the show incorporates high-energy dance, multimedia effects, and innovative mashups created by DJ duo The Hood Internet. The production debuts on Norwegian Getaway on March 2nd, 2025, and will later launch on Norwegian Joy during her July 7th Alaska cruise from Seattle.

Two additional productions will premiere later in 2025.

ICONS: The Bands, a celebration of legendary music groups, will debut aboard Norwegian Encore on March 30th during her Panama Canal sailing, before expanding to Norwegian Escape on May 25th. The show features a nine-member cast from Choir of Man and is directed by Stacy Walker.

Ignite the Night, will combine dance, fashion, and the energy of an award-show performance. It will debut aboard Norwegian Jewel on March 2nd, 2025, during a Caribbean sailing from Tampa, before premiering on Norwegian Gem for Canada and New England cruises from Quebec City on September 5th.

In addition to these mainstage productions, Norwegian Cruise Line is enhancing its entertainment programme with expanded live music offerings, interactive cast engagements, and pop-up performances branded as Mini Moments of More

These spontaneous events, including flash mobs and surprise performances, will take place fleetwide, offering guests unexpected and immersive experiences throughout their cruise.
