Oceania Cruises takes delivery of new cruise ship Vista

Oceania Cruises has taken delivery of its new Allura class cruise ship Vista from the Fincantieri shipyard in Genoa, Italy.

Vista is the first vessel in the new class of cruise ships for Oceania Cruises, which are larger and offer a range of new amenities and features across dining, accommodation and guest experience.

“Today we usher in a new era for Oceania Cruises with the delivery of Vista,” said Frank A. Del Rio, President of Oceania Cruises. “We could not have built such an exceptional ship without the close partnership enjoyed with Fincantieri.”

“We thank each and every person who had a hand in bringing her to life. From the smallest of design details to the largest per capita galley at sea, Vista is a marvel that will be enjoyed by guests for decades to come,” he added.

Vista will be christened on May 8th, 2023, in an exclusive ceremony in Valletta, Malta, by her godmother, celebrated Italian-American chef, author, restaurateur and Emmy Award-winning food personality Giada De Laurentiis.

After her summer season in the Mediterranean, Vista will sail to Canada and New England before heading south for a series of winter itineraries exploring the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America.

Oceania’s Vista has been designed to reflect the glamorous Belle Epoque era of 20th century Paris with a Grand Dining Room that features an exceptionally high, sweeping ceiling. Other dramatic elements to her interior design include the lobby with a sweeping staircase and theatrical crystal pillar and the Grand Lounge decorated in a gold-infused color palette.

The lounge bar, afternoon tea and entertainment space Horizons will have floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows to provide 180 degree views and will be among 12 dining experiences and public lounges aboard the ship.

These include the new Ember restaurant, open for lunch and dinner and serving American cuisine, and Aquamar Kitchen, open for breakfast and lunch with an emphasis on health-focused dishes.

Another first for Oceania Cruises is a new category of Concierge Level Veranda staterooms. These six solo cabins, measuring 270 square feet, will have a seating area, separate bedroom, bath tub and perks including a free laundry service and access to the exclusive Concierge Lounge.
