QE2 Dubai launches Royal Sunday Roast offer in Queen’s Grill fine dining restaurant

The QE2 Dubai, the former Cunard Line flagship turned floating hotel in Dubai, has revealed a new fine dining offer at its Queen’s Grill restaurant, called the Royal Sunday Roast.

The Royal Sunday Roast will feature traditional Sunday roast options such as succulent Irish Kettyle beef rib eye, whole roast leg of lamb, and Yorkshire puddings, served with all the trimmings.

The QE2 Dubai says the new roast menu has been prepared by a team of specially trained chefs, and will be available every Sunday, starting on 11 December 2022, from 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm.

Prices start at AED 395 per person, and guests will have the option of pairing their meals with specially created beverages inspired by QE2’s journeys.

“Royal Sunday Roast fans can expect a sharing-style feast of traditional British favourites in the luxury atmosphere of the Queens Grill restaurant, which occupies the former first-class dining quarters of this storied vessel,” says Ferghal Purcell, General Manager of the Queen Elizabeth 2 Hotel.

The roast will also feature a dessert platter with a wide selection of sweet treats, from a Jubilee trifle to banoffee pie and Sussex Pond Pudding to Pineapple Upside Down.

The Queen’s Grill is located at the bow of the former ocean liner on her boat deck, its accessed via A Gangway. The restaurant was recently refurbished to restore it to the splendour in which first class (Queen’s Grill class) passengers would have dined when Queen Elizabeth II operated as a trans-Atlantic liner.

QE2 Dubai operates as a ‘living museum’ at Port Rashid in Dubai. The ship has been restored to her 1969 condition, the year she was launched, and offers 447 rooms and suites, all of which have been updated for modern tastes.

Her public areas retain the art decor understatement for which QE2 was known while in service, particularly her Lido buffet restaurant and Golden Lion Pub.

Al fresco dining is also available at the Pavilion below the Lido, while the Queen’s Grill continues to serve its popular Afternoon Tea.

The ship also features a spa, conference facilities, indoor pool, a historic ballroom (the Queen’s Room), and the elegant Yacht Club, which at the time of writing remains closed for renovation.
