Hurtigurten reveals 93-day Pole to Pole grand voyage aboard MS Roald Amundsen

Most cruise lines sail grand voyages that circumnavigate part or all of the globe, visiting the tropics in all seven seas, but Hurtigurten is taking a different approach, with a three-month Pole to Pole cruise.

The 93-day cruise aboard expedition cruise ship MS Roald Amundsen will sail from the Arctic to Antarctica, visiting Alaska, the Northwest Passage, Greenland, the Caribbean, the Panama Canal, South America, and Antarctica.

MS Roald Amundsen will depart August 8th, 2022 from Vancouver on the first of two Pole to Pole grand voyages offered by the cruise line (the second, aboard its ship Fram, will set sail on a similar but shorter voyage of 66 days a month later).

The two new itineraries will encompass locations such as Antarctica, Canada’s Northwest Passage, the Chilean Fjords, and Greenland, as well as crossing through the Panama Canal.

MS Roald Amundsen’s 93-day voyage from Vancouver to Buenos Aires will depart August 8th, 2022, visiting 11 countries and Antarctica.

The voyages visits the Aleutian Islands along the Alaskan Peninsula and the deserted St. Matthew Island, the most isolated place in Alaska, before crossing the Artic Circle and heading through the Northwest Passage to Greenland and Baffin Island.

Unique stops include Belize and Nicaragua before the Panama Canal and exploring the majestic South American coastline. Prices start at $64,581 per person.

Fram’s 66 day cruise from Edmonton, Canada, to Santiago de Chile, will depart September 22nd, 2022 and will visit seven countries.

This cruise includes the Canadian Arctic and Greenland, before heading south, through the Caribbean, the Panama Canal, exploring the coast of South America, and Antarctica itself. Prices start at $50,143 per person.
