P&O Cruises re-confirms 2020/21 Dubai cruise season with winter itinerary launch

P&O Cruises has released its summer 2021 and winter 2021/2022 cruise itineraries with more than 400 voyages on offer from Southampton, Malta and, as we first reported, Dubai in the Arabian Gulf.

Destinations on offer range from Northern Europe and the Canary Islands to New Orleans, the Amazon and even an overnight in New York.

Oceana will be homeporting in Dubai for the winter season between November 2021 and March, 2022, offering 7-night roundtrip cruises in the Arabian Gulf to Sir Bani Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, Muscat and other destinations.

The cruise line was forced to cancel its Dubai cruises for the upcoming 2019/2020 cruise season due to Iranian interference with British-flagged ships.

The new cruise itineraries represent a redeployment of the fleet to some extent with Azura replacing Oceana in Malta, cruising roundtrip on seven- and 14-night Central, Eastern and Western Mediterranean fly cruises from April to October.

During the winter, Azura will be based in Barbados offering 14-night Northern and Eastern Caribbean roundtrip cruises.

Ventura will take over from Azura and offer alternating 14-night Western Mediterranean and Baltic cruises between May and October, 2021, while the winter season will focus on Spain, Portugal and Canary Islands and Caribbean sailings from the UK, including a brand-new cruise to New Orleans.

Oceana will switch with Ventura to offer a mix of 12-night Spain, Portugal and Canary Islands; seven-night “Southern Cruise Breaks” and two-night short cruises from Southampton before repositioning to Dubai.

P&O’s newest and largest ship, Iona, meanwhile, will repeat its inaugural 2020 programme, with seven-night Norwegian Fjords itineraries during the summer and Spain, Portugal, the Canary Islands and Northern Europe sailings during the winter.

Britannia will start the summer 2021 season with a mix of cruises, including a mini cruise, a Northern European and a Spain and Portugal itinerary. She will then spend May to October, 2021 cruising the Western Mediterranean before returning to the Caribbean for 14-night fly-cruises from Barbados and seven-night sailings from St Lucia.

Aurora will spend the summer of 2021 cruising a mix of Northern Europe and Baltic itineraries, including a 30-night Discovery cruise to Canada, with an overnight in Boston and two nights/three days in New York.

The line’s 2022 world cruise takes place on Aurora for the first time since 2017.

The ship departs from Southampton on a 99-night western circumnavigation on January 3^rd, 2022, visiting Barbados, the Panama Canal, San Francisco, Honolulu, Auckland, Sydney, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Colombo, Dubai, Muscat and Malta.

Arcadia’s summer 2021 season includes a 23-night cruise to Iceland and Norway, including an overnight in Reykjavik, scenic cruising along the North Cape and calls in Honningsvaag, Tromso, Leknes and Narvik.

Arcadia will also offer a 14-night sailing to Iceland with an overnight in Reykjavik followed by a 24-night voyage to Canada, with an overnight call to Quebec.

She will also sail a brand-new 55-night Grand Tour, including the ship’s first ever transit of the Amazon River, and maiden Caribbean and Central American port calls, departing Southampton on January 7^th, 2022.
