P&O Cruises renews Oceana for a third cruise season in Dubai for 2020/21

P&O Cruises has revealed a brand-new seven-night Dubai and Arabian Gulf itinerary for the 2020/21 cruise season in the UAE, along with more overnight stays in port and a new 65-night Caribbean and South America Grand Tour as part of its winter programme.

Between October, 2020 and March, 2021, Oceana will cruise a series of alternating cruise itineraries roundtrip from Dubai. Each 7-night itinerary will visit ports in either the eastern or western parts of the region, with both bookable as a 14-night butterfly itinerary.

This will mark P&O Cruises third and longest cruise season in the region, with more roundtrip cruise departures from Dubai than during the two previous cruise seasons.

“We were delighted with the positive feedback from our guests following our first Dubai and Arabian Gulf holidays, so Oceana will now offer new seven night holidays for her third season in the region,” says P&O Cruises president, Paul Ludlow.

“We have never offered more variety and value for our winter cruise holidays. There is so much to choose from in this winter 2020/21 collection,” he added.

On the 7-night eastern Arabian Gulf cruises, Oceana will depart Dubai and visit Muscat, Khasab and Abu Dhabi, before returning to Dubai. She’ll stay overnight in Dubai on the first night of the cruise.

On the 7-night western Arabian Gulf cruises, Oceana will depart Dubai and visit Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, and Sir Bani Yas Island, before returning to Dubai. On this itinerary she will also stay overnight in Dubai on the first night of the cruise.

While the British cruise line’s expanded Dubai cruise season for 2020/21 will be a major draw, and has in fact been made the focus of a major TV ad campaign, P&O Cruises will be sailing to several dozen destinations around the world, including the Caribbean, Northern Europe and Mediterranean.

The new TV campaign ‘Souvenirs’ seeks to connect with a new segment of British holidaymakers, guests looking for more enriching travel experiences, but who may have not yet considered a cruise, P&O said.

The advert paints a picture of a more authentic travel experience giving passengers an immersive experience of the local culture and natural beauty of Dubai and the Arabian Gulf.

The advert was shot entirely in Oman, as part of P&O Cruises’ Dubai and Arabian Gulf itineraries.

Oceana is a mid-size cruise ship at 77,000-gross tons, fresh from a major refit, offering a taste of contemporary British cruising in the Middle East. She carries more than 2,000 passengers and offers four restaurants and eight bars and cafes.
