Oceania Cruises will return Nautica to South Africa in late 2020 for a set of roundtrip cruises from Cape Town in early 2021, mirroring similar itineraries offered during the upcoming cruise season.
Nautica will arrive in South African waters on December 31st, 2020 when she makes port in Richard’s Bay as part of a 30-night grand voyage from Dubai to Cape Town.

The cruise will end in the Mother City on January 5th, with Nautica spending the final night in port in Cape Town before embarking on her two back-to-back roundtrip Cape Town cruises.
The first of these will depart January 5th, 2021 and the second will depart on January 19th. Both cruises are identical at 14-nights, visiting Namibia, Mozambique and four South African cities.
On both itineraries, Nautica will depart Cape Town in the afternoon and spend two nights and a day at sea en-route to Walvis Bay, Namibia, where she will stay overnight before heading for Port Elizabeth, requiring another two nights and three days at sea.
From Port Elizabeth, Nautica will cruise overnight to Durban, where she will also stay overnight to give passengers time to explore game reserves and cultural attractions in the interior.
After a day and night at sea, she’ll arrive in Maputo, Mozambique, where she will spend one day before arriving in Richard’s Bay the following day. After Richard’s Bay it’s another day at sea as she heads for Mossel Bay, the last port call before arriving back in Cape Town.

Unusually on this itinerary, Nautica will not stay overnight in Cape Town on either of the roundtrip cruises.
Known as a cruise line that focuses on cuisine and destinations, Oceania Cruises has six luxurious ships that can accommodate 684 to 1,250 guests.
It boasts more than 450 ports of call across the globe as well as a 180-day around the world voyage.
Nautica is one of the smaller 680 guest ships in the fleet, offering a traditional but elegant cruise experience with high-quality service and cuisine.
The South African roundtrip cruises from Cape Town were unveiled as part of a wider 2020/21 set of itineraries for Oceania Cruises that include 69 new ports of call and 85 cruise itineraries in total, including 13 new voyages to Asia and Africa and seven new sailings to the South Pacific and Australia.
“This new collection of itineraries unveils iconic ports of call and offers a wealth of opportunities to explore corners of the globe nearly untouched by tourism,” said the company’s president and CEO, Bob Binder, in a statement.
