Sky Princess, the new Royal-class cruise ship being built for Princess Cruises, will feature a redesigned Sanctuary and the Take Five jazz lounge, a new-to-the-line entertainment venue.
These new features were announced by Princess Cruises a year ahead of the ship’s scheduled debut in the North American market in December.

Sky Princess will also feature top-deck Wakeview and Retreat pools.

While Sky Princess will be delivered in October, 2019, she will sail an inaugural Mediterranean season before crossing the Atlantic to cruise roundtrip from the US to the Caribbean.
“Sky Princess is home to our most exciting entertainment experiences and venues yet,” said Gordon Ho, Chief Marketing Officer, Princess Cruises. “The expansion of onboard offerings demonstrates Princess Cruises’ commitment to innovation in entertainment.”

Sky Princess’ redesigned Sanctuary.
“We have partnerships with award-winning composers, including Stephen Schwartz, and most recently launched award-winning ‘Fantastic Journey’ — the world’s most technologically advanced show at sea,” he added. “We can’t wait to welcome Princess guests, old and new, onboard Sky Princess next year.”
In addition to the redesigned Sanctuary with eight private cabanas for rent, and the new Take Five jazz lounge, Sky Princess will also feature Sky Suites with the line’s largest balconies and top-deck Wakeview and Retreat pools.
She will also have The Enclave at Lotus Spa, the line’s largest thermal suite at sea, and specialty restaurants including Crafted by Curtis Stone and Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria.

Chef’s Table Lumiere and Ultimate Balcony Dining options, already available aboard the line’s other Royal-class cruise ships, will also be present on Sky Princess, along with the line’s Anytime Dining, Alfredo’s Pizza, World Fresh Marketplace, Ocean Terrace and other Princess favourites.
Sky Princess will be the second cruise ship to carry this name in the Princess fleet. The first was the former FairSky, which was built in 1984 for Sitmar Cruises and later sold to P&O, which renamed her Sky Princess for it’s Princess Cruises brand.
This new ship is obviously much larger though. Carrying 3,560 passengers, Sky Princess will feature Princess staples such as the multistory Piazza atrium, adults-only Sanctuary and Movies Under the Stars, as well as a number of Royal-class features like the SeaWalk (a glass walkway that extends from the top deck) and Princess Live TV studio.
Eighty percent of the ship’s cabins will have balconies, while the main pool deck will have more hot tubs (including two cantilevered over the pools) than other Royal-class ships, and the reimagined Sanctary will have twice as many cabanas.
