Oceania Cruises returns to the Middle East in 2019 with two-ship Dubai cruise line-up

Oceania Cruises is joining its rivals Seabourn and Silversea Cruises with a two-ship line-up for Dubai cruises in 2019, with Nautica and Insignia sailing three Dubai cruises between them.

Oceania Nautica will cruise from Dubai twice next year, while Oceania Insignia will cruise just once from the city, on a 22-night cruise from Dubai to Civitavecchia (Rome) in Italy, departing May 13^th, 2019.

Oceania Nautica will cruise from Dubai on April 27^th, 2019 bound for Barcelona. The 21-night cruise will be the first of her Dubai cruises during the year.

Nautica will return to the Middle East in December, cruising from Dubai to Cape Town on December 7^th, 2019. The 30-night cruise is undertaken annually and visits all the major cruise destinations in the Indian Ocean and on the South African coast.

Oceania Insignia – Dubai to Rome cruise

Insignia’s 22-night cruise from Dubai to Rome, departing May 13^th, 2019, starts from US $4,669 per person and visits Salalah in Oman, in addition, of course, to Dubai. Once past Salalah, Insignia will spend three days at sea cruising for Aqaba in Jordan and Safaga in Egypt.

She’ll then cross the Suez Canal and call in Haifa, Israel and Limassol in Cyprus. Three cities in Greece will be visited as she crosses the Mediterranean (Rhodes, Santorini and Piraeus, the gateway port for Athens).

Messina in Sicily and Sorrento in Italy are the final stops before she arrives in Civitavecchia, which is the main cruise port for Rome.

Oceania Nautica – Dubai to Barcelona cruise

Nautica’s first cruise from Dubai in 2019 will be a 21-night voyage from Dubai to Barcelona, departing April 27^th and starting at US $4,369 per person. The ship will visit Muscat and Salalah in Oman, as well as Safaga in Egypt and Aqaba in Jordan before crossing the Suez Canal.

Unlike Insignia’s westbound cruise, Nautica will visit more ports in the Western Mediterranean as she steams for Barcelona. She’ll visit Haifa in Israel, Limassol in Cyprus and Rhodes in Greece, before heading west to make a port call in Malta’s ancient port of La Valletta and charming port of Trapani in Italy ahead of her arrival in Barcelona.

Nautica’s second Dubai cruise departure of 2019 will be a 30-night grand voyage from Dubai to Cape Town, South Africa, departing December 7^th. Nautica will spend the first few days of the cruise in the Arabian Gulf, visiting Abu Dhabi, Fujairah and Muscat, before crossing the Indian Ocean to India.

The Indian ports of Mumbai, Goa, Cochin and Mangalore will mirror the itineraries followed by MSC and Celebrity Cruises out of Dubai, before she crosses to Male in the Maldives. After the Maldives, the ship will spend a few days at sea bound for the Seychelles, where she will spend a full three days visiting   La Digue and Mahe.

After another three days at sea she’ll call in Port Louis, Mauritius and Saint-Denis, Reunion the following day. Then it’s another three days at sea, and a port call to Maputo, Mozambique, before Nautica arrives on the South African coast, with visits to Richard’s Bay, Durban and Mossel Bay ahead of her arrival in Cape Town.
