New details announced for Celebrity Constellation’s upcoming 2019 Abu Dhabi cruise season

Celebrity Cruises will be returning its veteran cruise liner Celebrity Constellation to the Arabian Gulf for the upcoming 2018/2019 Middle East cruise season.

Between December, 2018 and April, 2019, Constellation, which was thoroughly refurbished in late 2017, will sail a number of roundtrip Abu Dhabi cruises to India, as well as several voyages between the UAE’s capital and Singapore.

These two cruise itineraries are 14 and 15 nights in length respectively.

The roundtrip Abu Dhabi cruises of two weeks (Arabian Sea & India Cruise) will visit Goa, Mumbai, Mangalore and Cochin in India, as well as Muscat in Oman and Dubai in the UAE. The port call in Dubai is an overnighter, as is the last day of the cruise in Abu Dhabi.

These roundtrip Celebrity Constellation cruises depart Abu Dhabi on December 8th, and December 22nd in 2018, and on March 4th in 2019.

The 15-night ‘Best Of India & Sri Lanka’ cruises between Abu Dhabi and Singapore will visit several cities in India and Sri Lanka, as well as Phuket in Thailand.

Celebrity Constellation will depart Abu Dhabi and visit Dubai in the UAE, Muscat in Oman, and Mumbai, Goa and Cochin in India, before calling in Colombo, Sri Lanka. She then crosses the Andaman Sea to visit Thailand’s Phuket before ending the cruise in Singapore.

This itinerary is also available in reverse on the homeward leg to the Arabian Gulf from Singapore.

The key difference between the Abu Dhabi-Singapore cruises aboard Celebrity Constellation and the roundtrip Abu Dhabi cruises to India are that Constellation does not stay overnight in Dubai when cruising between the UAE and Singapore.

Instead, she stays overnight in port in Mumbai. There is also no overnight port call in Abu Dhabi on the final day of the cruise.

These cruises between Abu Dhabi and Singapore depart from the UAE’s capital on January 5th, February 17th, March 18th and April 2nd in 2019.

This coming cruise season is likely to be the last chance for passengers to experience Celebrity Cruises out of Abu Dhabi, as the cruise line has indicated that it is shifting its homeport from Abu Dhabi to Dubai for the 2019/2020 cruise season.
