Regent Seven Seas Explorer will cruise from Cape Town in 2019 after roundtrip

Regent Seven Seas is a luxury cruise line that regularly offers a Cape Town cruise departure. The 2018 and 2019 Cape Town cruises will be offered by Seven Seas Explorer, the line’s brand-new ship.

Seven Seas Explorer will cruise roundtrip from Cape Town on December 22nd, 2018 on a 15-night cruise up and down the South African coast.

She’ll visit Luderitz and Walvis Bay in Namibia as well as Mossel Bay, Richard’s Bay, Durban, East London, and Port Elizabeth on the South African coast, before returning to Cape Town on January 6th.

On the same day, January 6th, 2019, Seven Seas Explorer will cruise again from Cape Town, but bound for Rio de Janeiro.

Regent Seven Seas Explorer has some of the largest suites afloat.

She’ll visit the ports of Lüderitz and Walvis Bay in Namibia again, as well as the fascinating and remote St Helena on her 14-night southern trans-Atlantic.

St Helena’s capital, Jamestown, was founded in 1659 by the East India Company, and is a small enclave sandwiched between imposing cliffs.

It offers some of the best British Georgian Era Colonial Architecture and passengers can take the opportunity to climb the town’s landmark, 699-step Jacob’s Ladder, built in 1829 and still in use today.

Also worth a visit is nearby Longwood, the infamous site of Napoleon’s final years in exile before his death.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises is a line that pioneered the all-inclusive fare back in the 90s, ticket prices on both of these Cape Town cruises include unlimited shore excursions, unlimited Wi-Fi, unlimited beverages (including fine wines and spirits), as well as complimentary access to all speciality restaurants and pre-paid gratuities.

On a per-ton basis, Regent Seven Seas Explorer is one of the most expensive cruise ships ever built.
