Azamara to cruise roundtrip from Dubai in 2019 with Azamara Quest

The luxury cruise arm of Royal Caribbean, Azamara Club Cruises’, will sail from Dubai twice in 2019 aboard its little cruise liner, Azamara Quest, with one of the voyages featuring a total solar eclipse.

The first Dubai cruise will be an 11-night roundtrip itinerary exploring the Arabian Gulf, departing Dubai on November 29th, 2019.

The cruise will visit Khor Fakkan, Sir Bani Yas Island and Abu Dhabi in the UAE, as well as Muscat in Oman, Mina Sulman in Bahrain and Doha in Qatar.

Azamara Quest’s port calls in Abu Dhabi and Muscat will both stay overnight, giving passengers two days to explore both cities. On the last night of the cruise, the ship will stay overnight in Dubai as well.

The voyage is being conducted in partnership with international golf vacation specialists PerryGolf and will include shore excursion options to some of the most impressive gold courses in the region.

“Our planned lineup includes Doha Golf Club, annual host of the Qatar Masters; the Greg Norman designed Almouj Golf Club in Oman; and the Majlis Course of Emirates Golf Club in Dubai, host to the Dubai Desert Classic,” Azamara says in its press material. “PerryGolf’s staff on board and ashore will arrange for every aspect of the golf program from equipment handling to tee times and contests.”

Other highlights include stunning coral reefs and boat excursions on the beautiful Gulf of Oman from Khor Fakkan, the beautifully preserved old city of Muscat, home to the elegant Al Bustan Palace Hotel and lessons in the ancient sport of falconry in Qatar.

The voyage is being conducted in partnership with international golf vacation specialists PerryGolf, and includes sessions on famous golf courses such as the Greg Norman designed Almouj Golf Club in Oman.

In Abu Dhabi, passengers will be taken to the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, an astounding monument that rivals the Taj Mahal, and Yas Island, where they’ll be able to race on a Formula One track and ride the world’s fastest roller coaster.

The second Dubai cruise departure is also an 11-nighter, but bound for Mumbai, India, departing Dubai on December 17th, 2019.

The cruise starts with an overnight stay in port in Dubai, before cruising to Doha in Qatar and Abu Dhabi and Sir Bani Yas Island in the UAE. Azamara Quest then cruises round the Musandam Peninsula to Muscat, before crossing the Gulf of Oman to stay overnight and end the cruise in Mumbai, India.

The cruise will include a spectacular total solar eclipse, which is due to take place on December 26th, when the ship will be in prime position, far out at sea between Muscat and Mumbai.
