Azamara Journey to offer one-off roundtrip cruise from Dubai in 2021

Azamara, which recently re-branded from Azamara Club Cruises, will be offering a one-off luxury roundtrip Dubai cruise during the 2021/22 cruise season.

Azamara Journey will cruise from Dubai on a 10-night roundtrip in the Arabian Gulf on November 8th, 2021.

It’s a marked reduction in Azamara’s presence in the region considering it will cruise from Dubai five times in 2020, two of which will be roundtrip itineraries.

This may be due to the cruise line’s recently announced expansion of its 2020/21 South African cruise season.

The 10-night Dubai to Dubai cruise in 2021, departing November 8th, will visit Muscat, Bahrain, Doha, Sir Bani Yas Island, Abu Dhabi and of course Dubai.

It’s a destination-intensive itinerary with Azamara Journey staying overnight in port in both Dubai and Muscat, while Bahrain, Qatar and Abu Dhabi will all be late-night departures.

After returning to Dubai on November 17th, 2021, Azamara Journey will stay the night in port and then depart on the 18th for Singapore, a 19-night voyage that features more overnights in port than any other cruise between Dubai and Singapore.

Azamara Journey will visit Mumbai and Cochin in India, staying overnight in Cochin, before rounding the southern tip of India and calling in Colombo, Sri Lanka, the tear-drop of the Indian Ocean.

Here in Colombo she will also stay overnight so that passengers have time to visit the elephant sanctuaries of Kandi, before heading out across the Indian Ocean to Yangon, Myanmar, where she will stay a full two nights and three days in port.

It’s then two days at sea and a final port call in Singapore to end the cruise. Here too, Azamara Journey will stay overnight.

Destination-intensive itineraries are something for which Azamara are well known. In fact, the cruise line has found that its passengers want to see so much more of the destinations it cruises to that as part of the re-brand to Azamara, it launched a new land-tour arm as well.

Azamara insists that ocean cruising will remain its core focus, but the land-tours give passengers the opportunity to return to regions of interest and explore them in more depth.
