Azamara Cruises reveals 3 World Cruise options for expanded 2029 programme

Azamara Cruises has revealed plans for three World Cruise itineraries in 2029, ranging from 139 to 195 nights.

The programme will centre on a 195-night voyage aboard Azamara Quest from San Diego to Copenhagen, accompanied by shorter 179-night and 139-night options covering sections of the same global journey.

The full itinerary will visit 126 ports across five continents and 40 countries and territories, including 12 maiden calls. Approximately 65 per cent of the voyage will be spent in port.

“We’re incredibly proud of the 2029 World Cruise Collection and the time we’ve built into each leg of the journey for guests to truly connect with the places they visit,” said Michael Pawlus, Head of Itinerary Planning, Azamara Cruises.

“We believe our guests are really going to love what we’ve created, and we’re excited to give them a closer look at the itineraries and reveal all the details in the weeks ahead,” he added.

The 195-night sailing will depart San Diego and conclude in Copenhagen, with the route extending from the South Pacific to Northern Europe. Azamara plans to include 16 overnight stays and 60 late-night departures during the voyage, allowing passengers to remain ashore into the evening at selected destinations.

The itinerary will place particular emphasis on the South Pacific during its earlier stages and the Baltic towards the end of the voyage.

Passengers will also be able to book two shorter versions of the World Cruise rather than completing the full 195-night itinerary.

The first will operate for 179 nights from San Diego to London. Like the complete voyage, it will span five continents and include 12 maiden ports and 16 overnight stays. A total of 52 calls will feature late-night departures.

A second option will run for 139 nights between Sydney and Copenhagen, also crossing five continents. The itinerary will include 11 overnight stays, 43 late-night departures, and four maiden ports.

The three itineraries represent a change from Azamara’s previous approach to its World Cruise programme by offering multiple journey lengths around a single extended global deployment.

Bookings for the complete 195-night voyage will open on 23 September 2026. The two shorter itineraries will go on sale on 14 October 2026.

Azamara plans to release the complete itineraries on 23 September, along with further details of events, AzAmazing Evenings, and other elements included with the sailings. The 2029 programme extends Azamara’s use of Azamara Quest for long-duration itineraries. The ship, which entered service in 2000 and later joined Azamara, carries approximately 700 passengers and is one of four similar vessels currently operated by the cruise line.
