Norwegian Cruise Line has detailed the dining and wellness venues planned for Norwegian Aura, including several concepts new to the brand.
The ship will feature 22 food and beverage options spanning more than 10 cuisines, alongside redesigned restaurants, bars, and lounges. Its Mandara Spa will extend across two decks and include an expanded Thermal Suite with 15 wellness facilities.
“The Norwegian Aura is all about giving guests more of what they love, with spaces and experiences that make vacation feel even easier,” said Marc Kazlauskas, President, Norwegian Cruise Line.
Among the new dining venues will be Tamara, Norwegian Cruise Line’s first speciality restaurant dedicated to Indian cuisine. Located on Deck 8, the restaurant’s menu will include short-rib dosa served with tomato sambar, fenugreek, and coconut chutney, as well as lamb biryani and a green papaya salad prepared tableside.
Another new venue, The Panorama Room, will be located on Deck 6 and operate as a complimentary dining option. The restaurant will incorporate visual technology into the dining space, representing a departure from the line’s traditional main dining room format.
Hudson’s, Norwegian’s main dining room concept featuring 270-degree ocean views, will return aboard Norwegian Aura with a redesigned interior.
Several existing speciality restaurants will also feature on the ship, including French restaurant Le Bistro, Thai concept Sukhothai, Mediterranean seafood restaurant Palomar, Italian venue Onda by Scarpetta, Cagney’s Steakhouse, and teppanyaki restaurant Hasuki.
Other changes to the ship’s food and beverage offering include an enlarged Surfside Café and the return of Indulge Food Hall, which brings multiple dining concepts together in a single venue. A new Middle Eastern concept will also be introduced, although further details have not yet been announced.
The Haven, Norwegian Cruise Line’s ship-within-a-ship accommodation area, will include redesigned versions of The Haven Bar and Lounge and The Haven Restaurant.
Bars and lounges elsewhere aboard Norwegian Aura will feature revised interiors and larger layouts. The Penrose Bar & Atrium will be expanded, while Daybreak Bar, Metropolitan Bar, and Whiskey Bar will be among the ship’s other drinking venues.
The ship’s wellness facilities will centre on a two-deck Mandara Spa, with interiors drawing on natural environments including forest canopies, caves, and waterfalls.
Its Thermal Suite will include 15 wellness amenities, 11 of which are new experiences. Among the additions is the Sensory Rain Pool, which will use water, lighting, and sound effects to recreate changing weather conditions. The experience will progress from calm water through tropical rainfall to a simulated thunderstorm incorporating lightning effects and the sound of thunder.
Other facilities will range from hot and cold plunge experiences and saunas to meditation and relaxation areas. A fitness centre will also form part of the wellness complex.
Beyond its dining and wellness offering, Norwegian Aura will include Ocean Heights, a family-focused activity area, with further details of the venue expected separately.
