Regent Seven Seas Cruises will reduce the number of suites aboard its Explorer Class ships as part of a major refurbishment programme designed to deliver larger accommodations and a more spacious onboard experience.
Planned dry docks in 2027 and 2028 will see Seven Seas Explorer, Seven Seas Splendor, and Seven Seas Grandeur each reduced from 373 suites to 344, with 29 suites removed from every ship.
The project will introduce larger entry-level accommodations, a new suite category, and additional premium suites as Regent continues to position itself at the upper end of the ultra-luxury cruise market.

A key element of the refurbishment will be the enlargement of Veranda Suites, which Regent says will become the largest entry-level suites in the ultra-luxury cruise sector.
The redesigned accommodations will increase in size from 307 square feet to between 415 and 464 square feet and will feature walk-in wardrobes, double vanities, and larger private balconies.
The refits will also introduce Horizon Penthouse Suites to the Explorer Class fleet following their debut aboard the new Seven Seas Prestige.
Measuring between 616 and 722 square feet, the new category will feature oversized balconies, separate living and sleeping areas, and full bathrooms designed to create a more residential-style experience.
Each ship will also gain a new signature suite named after the vessel itself.
The Explorer Suite, Splendor Suite, and Grandeur Suite will measure between 821 and 918 square feet and include king-size Elite Slumber beds, spacious lounge and dining areas, one-and-a-half marble bathrooms and large private balconies.
Guests booking the new suites will also receive Regent’s premium amenities, including butler service, in-suite caviar service, fresh orchid arrangements, cashmere blankets, and a choice of pillow styles.
The refurbishment programme will begin with Seven Seas Splendor during a scheduled dry dock in November 2027.
Seven Seas Explorer will follow in April 2028, with Seven Seas Grandeur entering dry dock in October 2028.
