TUI Cruises has announced a six-year partnership with Austrian winery Skoff Original that will see a new Wine & Culture programme introduced aboard Mein Schiff Flow from next year.
The initiative will combine guided wine tastings, culinary events, and live opera performances during selected sailings aboard the recently christened vessel.
Hosted by fourth-generation winemaker Walter Skoff and Austrian opera singer and trained sommelier Eva Skoff-Liebau, the programme is designed to explore the relationship between wine, gastronomy, and music through a series of onboard events.
The first sailing featuring the programme will be the nine-night Highlights of the Western Mediterranean itinerary, departing Palma de Mallorca on March 22nd, 2027.
During the voyage, guests will be invited to participate in guided wine tastings led by Skoff, who will discuss the origins, production methods, and philosophy behind wines produced by the Styrian family winery.
The programme will also include a Wine & Culture Dinner, combining a multi-course meal with personal stories from the hosts. The evening will conclude with an opera performance by Skoff-Liebau in the ship’s theatre.
According to TUI Cruises, each voyage included in the partnership will introduce a new culinary experience, allowing the programme to evolve over the six-year collaboration.
The initiative builds on an existing relationship between the cruise line and Skoff Original following the launch earlier this year of L’aria Sauvignon Blanc Ried Oberkranachberg Südsteiermark DAC aboard Mein Schiff 7.
That wine features a label incorporating a QR code linking passengers to an aria performed by Skoff-Liebau, combining music and winemaking as part of a single presentation.
As part of the extended collaboration, six limited-edition Sauvignon Blanc vintages from the Oberkranachberg vineyard, spanning the 2024 to 2029 harvests, will be released onboard.
Production of each vintage will be limited to 1,700 bottles, with 600 bottles reserved for sale across the Mein Schiff fleet.
The programme will culminate in its sixth year with a concert during which Skoff-Liebau will perform all six arias associated with the wines. The corresponding vintages will also be presented together and made available as a limited-edition collection.
The inaugural Wine & Culture sailing forms part of Mein Schiff Flow’s Western Mediterranean deployment and will visit Barcelona, La Spezia, Ajaccio and Civitavecchia before returning to Palma de Mallorca.
The announcement reflects a broader trend among premium cruise lines to develop specialist enrichment programmes centred on gastronomy, wine and the performing arts, providing guests with themed experiences that extend beyond traditional onboard entertainment.
Bookings for the inaugural sailing are now open, with TUI Cruises offering early booking discounts for reservations made before July 31st, 2026.
