Four Seasons Yachts takes delivery of Four Seasons I and reveals Caribbean itineraries

Four Seasons Yachts has outlined its 2027/28 Caribbean programme alongside further details of its first vessel, Four Seasons I, after taking delivery of the vessel.

The company plans 18 voyages across the season, incorporating 18 destinations in its second year operating in the Caribbean following an initial winter deployment later this year.

The itineraries are designed around smaller ports and marina access, reflecting the yacht’s operating profile rather than conventional cruise terminals.

“Each new season represents an avenue to further refine and elevate the Four Seasons Yachts experience — expanding into exceptional, unexpected destinations while artfully curating journeys around the individual passions of our guests,” said Ben Trodd, Chief Executive Officer, Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings Ltd, Joint Owner and Operator, Four Seasons Yachts.

Among the additions is Costa Rica, where the yacht will call at private marinas including Marina Papagayo and Bahía Golfito. Sailings scheduled for January and February are timed to coincide with the seasonal migration of humpback whales in the Pacific, while the region’s wildlife and protected coastal areas form part of the itinerary planning.

Pre- and post-voyage stays in the country will also be offered, extending the land component around the voyages.

Elsewhere in the Caribbean, routes include ports such as Cartagena and Gustavia on St Barths, with a mixture of overnight and late-evening calls intended to allow longer time ashore. Some voyages will incorporate a Panama Canal transit as part of wider Central American itineraries, while additional land stays will be available in Cartagena.

The company also confirmed a series of festive departures during the 2027 holiday period. Thanksgiving and Christmas sailings will operate within the Lesser Antilles, including Saint Lucia, Martinique, Antigua, and Nevis, while a New Year voyage will include Curaçao and ports in Colombia.

Four Seasons I is the first vessel developed under the hotel brand’s yachting venture and represents its entry into the ultra-luxury cruise segment. The operating model centres on extended port stays and anchorage operations rather than high passenger capacity, allowing the ship to call at smaller harbours not typically accessible to larger vessels.

The approach aligns the deployment more closely with private yachting patterns than traditional cruise itineraries, with time allocated both ashore and at anchor. On certain days the ship will operate marina-style access, allowing passengers to swim and undertake water activities directly from the vessel.

Four Seasons Yachts’ entry comes as several operators seek to attract travellers who might otherwise choose villa stays or private charters. By combining pre- and post-voyage accommodation with extended port calls, the voyages are structured to function as integrated land-and-sea holidays rather than conventional cruise itineraries.
