Princess Cruises reveals entertainment line-up aboard new Star Princess

Princess Cruises has unveiled the entertainment lineup for its new Sphere-class cruise ship, Star Princess, ahead of her debut on October 4th, 2025.

The 4,300-guest vessel, currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, will offer a range of new productions and experiences across her Mediterranean, Caribbean, Panama Canal, and Alaska itineraries.

“We’re not just putting on shows; we’re crafting moments that will stay with guests long after the final curtain,” said Lorna Warren, Princess Cruises Vice President Hotel Operations and Guest Experience. “Star Princess was designed to surprise, move, and inspire each and every night.”

Two new theatre productions

At the centre of the programme are two original productions staged in the ship’s main theatre, the Princess Arena.

Meridian, created by BAFTA-winning director Dan Shipton and choreographed by Kieran Daley-Ward, tells the story of a noblewoman aboard a grand ship in a masked age of elegance.

Featuring an original score and reimagined popular music, the show is described as a cinematic tale of love and identity.

Illuminate: A Spectacle of Joy draws inspiration from a vintage circus setting. With a cast representing the many facets of a ringmaster’s personality, the production aims to reveal the extraordinary in the everyday.

It features a multi-generational pop score by Kola Bello and choreography by Jay Revell, who also co-directs alongside Ross Nicholson. Both shows were produced in partnership with Black Skull Creative.

In addition to these new productions, Viva La Música, a Latin American music and dance show that debuted on Sun Princess, will also feature onboard. It was choreographed by Liz Imperio, whose past work includes collaborations with Jennifer Lopez and Madonna.

Entertainment across the ship

Beyond the theatre, entertainment will extend across the ship’s public spaces. A new Candlelight Concert Series will take place in The Dome, a glass-enclosed venue at the top of the ship. The concerts will feature classical music reinterpreted with cinematic elements, performed under candlelight.

Star Princess piazza

In the Piazza, guests can attend Princess Jamz, a 45-minute live performance led by the Cruise Director and the 15-member Princess World Orchestra.

Also set in the Piazza is the Celestial Champagne Soirée, a multimedia event combining light, music and visuals, culminating in the cruise line’s traditional Champagne Waterfall ceremony.

Evening events will also include themed parties and live music across various venues, designed to create a more immersive nightlife experience at sea.

Star Princess is the second ship in Princess Cruises’ Sphere class, following Sun Princess, and will offer its inaugural season across multiple regions.

The Dome relaxation and entertainment space

Star Princess will sail a range of inaugural itineraries, including Mediterranean voyages from Barcelona and Rome, Caribbean cruises from Fort Lauderdale, and longer transits through the Panama Canal. In 2026, she is scheduled to operate a summer season in Alaska.

As the largest ship ever built for Princess Cruises at 175,500 gross tons, Star Princess features a multi-level Piazza at the heart of the ship, a glass-enclosed Dome inspired by the terraces of Santorini, the technologically advanced Princess Arena, and new suite accommodations in the Reserve Collection.
