Oceania Cruises has taken delivery of its newest luxury vessel, Oceania Allura, at the Fincantieri Shipyard in Genoa, and expanded to four ships an existing order for two new vessels in an all-new class.
The 1,200-guest Allura is the second in the Allura Class, following sister ship Oceania Vista, which launched in May 2023, and features a series of culinary innovations, while staying true to Oceania Cruises’ brand identity.
“Oceania Allura is our most innovative and luxurious ship to date. She represents our bold vision for an entirely new generation of luxury travel experiences,” said Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Oceania Cruises.
“As always, at the heart of this beautiful ship is an extraordinary crew dedicated to providing exceptional cuisine, personalised, intuitive service and immersive enrichment opportunities for our guests,” he added.

Among the new offerings is a dedicated Crêperie serving French crêpes, Belgian waffles, and Italian ice cream sundaes. The return of Jacques, Oceania’s signature French restaurant, comes with refreshed menus featuring classics like duck à l’orange and new experiential dishes such as tableside hand-cut beef tartare.
A dozen Nikkei dishes — Japanese-Peruvian fusion — debut in the Red Ginger restaurant, including tuna ceviche with leche de tigre and braised short rib with miso sweet potato mousseline. The Grand Dining Room introduces over 270 new recipes, including an expanded breakfast menu with a new eggs Benedict section.
In wine and mixology, guests can now enjoy the Gerard Bertrand Wine Pairing Luncheon, a curated experience aligning fine wines with complementary dishes.
At 804 feet long and over 68,000 gross tons, Oceania Allura offers the most spacious standard staterooms at sea, measuring over 290 square feet. The ship also features a redesigned Library on Deck 14 and a new LYNC Digital Center powered by Starlink WiFi, offering free digital skills workshops.
Oceania Allura’s inaugural season includes 26 voyages to 92 destinations across the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and North America. Its maiden voyage will depart from Trieste on July 18th, 2025, bound for Athens.
A christening ceremony is planned for November 2025 in Miami, to be conducted by a group of Food & Wine magazine’s Best New Chefs alumni.
Looking ahead, Oceania Cruises has confirmed the addition of two more Sonata Class vessels, scheduled for delivery in 2032 and 2035, joining the already announced Oceania Sonata (2027) and Oceania Arietta (2029).
Each will carry approximately 1,390 guests and measure 86,000 gross tons.
“I am delighted to confirm we will be adding two more Sonata Class vessels to our fleet,” Montague said at the delivery ceremony in Genoa. “These four Sonata Class ships will herald the next stage in the evolution of the Oceania Cruises brand of exceptional small-ship luxury experiences.”
