Disney floats out largest ever ship Disney Adventure, reveals more experiences

Disney Cruise Line has revealed more details about the new experiences debuting aboard its upcoming ship Disney Adventure, which was floated out on Saturday at the Meyer Wismar shipyard in Germany.

Disney Adventure will now move to a pier for final interior outfitting ahead of sea trials and her delivery this fall, before deploying to Singapore where she will homeport on a year-round basis, offering short cruises from Marina Bay.

Disney Adventure will set sail on its maiden voyage on December 15th, 2025.

Disney Adventure

As part of the float out celebrations, Disney Cruise Line unveiled a series of new experiences coming to Disney Adventure, including several firsts for the fleet.

Among the highlights is the debut of Marvel Style Studio, where guests of all ages can enjoy superhero-inspired makeovers styled after characters like Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Captain Marvel. The sleek venue will also transform into an adults-only lounge at select times, offering curated beverage tasting sessions.

The ship will also feature Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, where children aged 3 to 12 can undergo magical transformations into princesses, knights, and sea captains through a selection of costumes, hairstyling, and accessories—alongside a new photo experience to capture the moment.

At the Royal Society for Friendship and Tea in the Hollywood Spotlight Club, young guests will join Disney Princesses for an interactive afternoon of storytelling, music, and sweet treats, learning the values of kindness, bravery, and determination along the way.

Each guest will receive official society keepsakes as mementoes of their royal encounter.

In a first for Disney Cruise Line, the ship will also introduce Duffy and Friends onboard, with character meet-and-greets, themed merchandise, and an all-new stage show, Duffy and The Friend Ship.

Performed at the open-air Disney Imagination Garden, the musical show will follow Duffy and his friends on a voyage of discovery led by seagull Tippy Blue. A themed quest and special photo opportunities will further immerse fans in the Duffy experience.

Disney Adventure leaves construction dry dock

Another new production, Captain Jack Sparrow & The Siren Queen, will bring swashbuckling adventure to the Garden Stage, inviting guests to don their pirate best and join Jack Sparrow and his crew in a thrilling hunt for treasure.

Disney Adventure is the former Genting/Dream Cruises newbuild Global Dream which Disney Cruise Line acquired while still under construction following the pandemic collapse of Genting Hong Kong.

Disney Cruise Line has significantly modified the vessel to meet its brand standards. The ship is one of seven newbuilds coming for Disney over the next few years, including Disney Destiny, a sister ship to Disney Wish, and two more unnamed Wish-class vessels that will be designed for the Japanese market.

The cruise line has also placed an order for three 100,000 gross ton vessels with a passenger capacity for 3,000 guests, putting them between the Magic and Dream class in the fleet.
