Disney Imagination Garden to debut aboard new ship Disney Adventure

Disney Cruise Line has revealed that its new Singapore-based cruise ship Disney Adventure will feature the Disney Imagination Garden, a central themed area with landscapes inspired by Disney stories.

The space will feature a three-deck-tall storybook castle art piece and a state-of-the-art theatrical stage. The open-air garden will also include two quick-service eateries, a bar and garden-view staterooms.

Disney Adventure is due to launch from Singapore in 2025, and will be the cruise line’s first Asia-based cruise ship and the largest cruise ship ever built for Disney Cruise Line.

The vessel was previously comissioned by Dream Cruises of Genting Hong Kong, but was acquired by Disney while under construction when Genting filed for bankruptcy.

“Disney Imagination Garden is the heart and soul of the Disney Adventure, where our guests will interact with our Disney, Pixar and Marvel stories in a whole new way,” said Laura Cabo, Portfolio Executive Creative Director, Walt Disney Imagineering.

“The size and scale of this space provided us with so many opportunities to dream big and try new things with our experiential design, creating first-of-a-kind experiences for our guests, from all-new entertainment to delicious dining and lots of magical surprises sprinkled throughout,” Cabo added.

Disney Imagination Garden is one of seven themed areas on the upcoming Disney Adventure, each offering unique experiences and characters.

The area features a storybook-inspired garden with paper-cut-out styled landscapes, including flowers, topiaries and trees.

Highlights include a Garden Stage for live entertainment, a grand staircase with amphitheater-style seating and a courtyard bar with a Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey Mouse topiary.

Guests staying in Garden View staterooms on Disney Adventure will enjoy exclusive verandah views of the Disney Imagination Garden, similar to Royal Caribbean’s Central Park and Promenade view staterooms aboard the Oasis and Icon class.

The Garden Stage will offer all-day entertainment, including the signature show Avengers Assemble! featuring Deadpool and Marvel Super Heroes.

Two themed quick-service eateries, Mowgli’s Eatery and Gramma Tala’s Kitchen, will offer Indian and Pacific cuisine inspired by The Jungle Book and Moana, respectively, with both featuring views of the Garden Stage.

More details about the other themed areas, such as Disney Discovery Reef and Marvel Landing, will be revealed in the coming months.
