Celestyal extends maiden Dubai cruise season amid ‘overwhelming’ demand

Celestyal Cruises is adding a sailing to its inaugural season in the Arabian Gulf out of Dubai, citing overwhelming demand, it announced in a press release.

Celestyal’s new voyage will increase availability by ten percent for the remainder of the season in the region aboard Celestyal Journey.

The extra cruise will depart from Dubai on March 3rd, 2025, with Doha also offered as a turnaround port, and will visit Bahrain, Dubai (overnight), Khasab, Sir Bani Yas Island and Abu Dhabi.

Celestyal Journey arriving in Dubai for first time

Celestyal Journey is currently undergoing a brief dry dock in Dubai, reflecting the city’s growing position within the cruise refit and repair sector. Dubai has previously done work on Carnival Cruise Line’s vessels, as well as AIDA Cruises.

The vessel will recieve a new livery to match her fleet mate, Celestyal Discovery, while her public areas will be enhanced ahead of a return to service on February 15th.

“We’re thrilled by the response to our Arabian Gulf itineraries, which offer guests the perfect blend of iconic landmarks and hidden gems,” said Lee Haslett, Chief Commercial Officer, Celestyal.

“From the impressive skyline of Doha to the dazzling sights of Dubai and the wildlife haven of Sir Bani Yas Island, there’s even more opportunity to experience the rich history, culture and natural beauty of the region,” he added.

Fares for the new sailing start at US $609 per person and include all meals, a shore excursion voucher, complimentary wines and beers with meals, and all port fees and gratuities.

Celestyal Cruises is currently sailing its inaugural season in the Arabian Gulf, with two ships due to operate in the region during the 2025/26 season. Celestyal Journey will return to cruise roundtrip from Dubai and Doha, while Celestyal Discovery will homeport in Abu Dhabi.

The remaining Arabian Gulf season and added sailing benefit from Celestyal’s current promotional offer, “Live Your Vacation Dream,” which includes up to 50 percent off the Celestyal Experience fare.
