Dirty Dancing in Concert will be performed multiple times on each sailing
MSC World America, the new World class vessel from MSC Cruises, will feature a wide range of entertainment options when she debuts this April, including the first-ever at-sea Dirty Dancing in Concert.
The 90-minute live-to-film concert production will bring the beloved Lionsgate movie to life with live singers, dancers, and musicians. Each sailing will feature several performances of the show, including a matinee on sea days.
The show features a band and singers performing classic songs in sync with the movie, while dancers enhance the atmosphere. The event concludes with a Dirty Dancing-themed afterparty that continues into the night.
MSC World America will also feature a range of additional stage shows and live music, such as Queen Symphonic in the Panorama Lounge, the cruise line’s renowned Comedy Club, and its popular Duelling Pianos show, as well as various activities and games as part of her daily programming.
“Delivering a diverse entertainment lineup for every type of holidaymaker is central to creating an unforgettable cruise experience,” said Steve Leatham, Vice President of Entertainment at MSC Cruises.
“MSC World America provides an incredible platform to push the boundaries of entertainment at sea, and we’re introducing some exciting new concepts and productions,” he added.
In addition to Dirty Dancing in Concert, MSC World America’s World Theatre will also introduce several new theatrical productions, including:
Odyssey, an acrobatic spectacle inspired by Homer’s Odyssey.
Momentous, a large-scale illusion show, created in collaboration with Twins FX, known for their work on productions like Back to the Future and Doctor Who.
Hall of Fame, a live pop concert celebrating the music of pop icons.
The Panorama Lounge, meanwhile, will feature two shows on each sailing:
Queen Symphonic, a live concert experience blending Queen’s greatest hits with a 36-piece orchestra.
Cinesonic, a concert featuring popular movie songs and cinematic scores, enhanced by motion graphics and live performances.
The ship will also feature a Street Theatre, with pop-up events by renowned performers throughout the cruise, as well as Luna Park, an entertainment hub offering e-gaming, dance classes, family game shows and themed experiences.
Daytime activities will also include enrichment talks and virtual reality experiences.
