Carnival Corporation has announced significant leadership changes, appointing new presidents for Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, and Seabourn Cruises. These appointments mark a strategic reshuffle within the corporation as it focuses on driving growth and enhancing guest experiences across its brands.
Gus Antorcha, currently President of Holland America Line, will assume the role of President of Princess Cruises effective December 2nd. He succeeds John Padgett, who will depart the company in mid-February. Antorcha, who has led Holland America Line since 2020, is credited with steering the brand through the challenges of the pandemic and positioning it for recovery.
Beth Bodensteiner, a 20-year veteran of Holland America Line, will step into Antorcha’s role as President. Her responsibilities will also encompass Seabourn Cruises, Carnival Corp.’s luxury line, reflecting her extensive experience in commercial strategy and operations. Bodensteiner has held senior roles in revenue management, global sales, marketing, and planning for integrated offerings such as Alaska Land + Sea Journeys. Her leadership is expected to strengthen both brands’ commercial performance and market presence.

Mark Tamis has been appointed President of Seabourn Cruises, replacing Natalya Leahy, who has accepted a position outside of Carnival Corp. Tamis brings substantial experience in hospitality and cruise operations, having previously led hotel and onboard operations for Royal Caribbean International and guest operations for Carnival Cruise Line. Most recently, he served as global President of Aimbridge Hospitality, where he oversaw operations across a portfolio of properties.
All three leaders—Antorcha, Bodensteiner, and Tamis—will report directly to Carnival Corp. CEO Josh Weinstein. These appointments underscore Carnival Corp.’s commitment to leveraging experienced leadership to navigate a competitive market and adapt to evolving guest expectations.
Josh Weinstein noted that the new appointments align with Carnival Corp.’s strategy to deliver exceptional service and grow its global footprint across the premium and luxury cruise segments. He expressed confidence in the leadership team’s ability to build on the brands’ strengths and drive innovation in their respective markets.
