Carnival Panorama returns to service after drydock, completing new livery rollout

Carnival Panorama has returned to service after a 24-day drydock in Singapore, featuring the new red, white, and blue livery of Carnival Cruise Line and completing the rollout of the new colours across the fleet.

The ship returns to service October 12th, the final vessel in Carnival Cruise Line’s 27-ship fleet to receive its hull livery and the latest vessel to sport a variety of enhancements, from a new non-smoking casino to a refurbished retail area.

Carnival Panorama also received a number of technical updates, upgrades and maintenance on machinery, and class surveys during the drydock period.

The ship was delivered in 2019 and is one of five vessels in Carnival Corporation’s Vista class, which also includes Costa Venezia of the Costa Cruises sister brand. Carrying 5,146 passengers at full capacity, the ship was last drydocked in 2023 for repairs to her engines.

This is the five-year-old vessel’s first significant refit and refurbishment since entering service.

A non-smoking casino has been added near the main casino, while an all-new Effy Fine Jewellery store and a new Carnival Adventures store have been added to the refurbished Fun Shops.

A Dreams Studio, where guests can schedule photo shoots with the ship’s professional photographers, was also added, as well as a new mini golf area, while all public spaces were refreshed with new carpets and soft furnishings.

Carnival Panorama sets sail tomorrow on a 25-day transpacific Carnival Journeys cruise from Singapore where she will make Carnival Cruise Line’s first-ever stop in Manila, Philippines on October 18th.

Once she arrives to Long Beach on November 5th, Carnival Panorama will begin sailing a variety of 5-, 6- and 7-day itineraries to the Mexican Riviera.

The completion of Carnival Cruise Line’s livery rollout across the fleet comes amid robust growth and reinvestment for the brand following the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Carnival’s fleet of 27 ships will grow by seven through 2033, with two ships joining in February 2025 when P&O Cruises Australia integrates into Carnival, while a fourth and fifth Excel class ship are scheduled for 2027 and 2028 respectively.

Carnival Cruise Lines has also ordered three additional new ships from an innovative new class currently under development, which will be the largest ever for the line, on-par with Royal Caribbean’s Oasis class.

The cruise line is also developing an all-new exclusive destination, Celebration Key, set to debut on Grand Bahama next summer.
