Norwegian Cruise Line reveals new and old dining and bar concepts for Norwegian Luna

Norwegian Cruise Line has revealed the dining, bar, and lounge concepts that will be available aboard its new Norwegian Luna, a sister ship to Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Aqua, with many brand favourites making a return.

Norwegian Luna, the fourth vessel in the groundbreaking new Prima class, will offer all the dining venues and bar experiences of the Prima Plus class ship Norwegian Aqua, along with a few features of her own.

One of the venues that will return onboard the Norwegian Luna is Sukhothai, a Thai specialty restaurant with an eclectic menu of traditional and creative offerings, along with the Indulge Food Hall, an upscale food court that was first introduced aboard Norwegian Prima in 2022.

Norwegian Luna

Onboard Norwegian Luna, the space will feature indoor and alfresco dining with ten different food stations, including the plant-based Planterie, while several signature Norwegian dining venues will also be available, such as Cagney’s Steakhouse and Le Bistro, a French specialty restaurant.

After being rolled out to five ships since 2022, the high-end Italian specialty venue Onda by Scarpetta will also be available onboard the Norwegian Luna, including Surfside Café, a self-service casual eatery, the Commodore Main Dining Room, and Nama Sushi and Sashimi.

Norwegian Luna’s bar and lounge lineup includes returning favourites such as the Whisky Bar and the Belvedere Bar, while the Metropolitan Bar, and the company’s Sail & Sustain cocktail bar, will also make a return with a special menu of sustainable beverages.

The ship will also feature Swirl, a cozy wine bar designed for a laid-back, intimate experience.

Norwegian Luna is the fourth vessel in the company’s Prima class, but the second in the Prima Plus sub-class. She is a sister ship to Norwegian Aqua, due to enter service in 2025, and is expected to sail her maiden voyage on April 4th, 2026.

Both vessels are around 10% larger than Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva, and offer a range of enhanced experiences, such as the NCL exclusive Aqua Slidecoaster, a first-of-its-kind hybrid rollercoaster and waterslide, or The Drop, NCL’s 10-story free-fall slide.

Norwegian Luna will also feature a digital sports complex, the Glow Court, offering a variety of interactive guest activities by day and then transforming into a nightclub in the evening, and the Stadium, an outdoor space offering complimentary activities.

Norwegian Luna will also feature the all-new Three-Bedroom Duplex Haven Suites in the premium keycard-access-only-complex, The Haven by Norwegian.

Dry slide and Ocean Boulevard

All four Prima vessels are defined by Ocean Boulevard, the 46,000 square foot outdoor walkway which wraps around the entire ship to bring guests closer to the sea, as well as Vibe Beach Club, the adults-only, open-air lounge, Infinity Beach which provides sweeping views of the ocean, and an expansive, upper pool deck.

During Norwegian Luna’s inaugural season, the 156,300-gross ton ship will operate a series of roundtrip week-long cruises to the Caribbean from Miami, calling in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; and Great Stirrup Cay, NCL’s private island in the Bahamas.
