MSC Cruises announces flash sale for upcoming MSC Musica season in South Africa

MSC Cruises has announced a three-day flash sale for MSC Musica’s upcoming summer cruise season in South Africa out of Durban and Cape Town.

The flash sale, offering significant fare reductions, applies two just two cruises out of Durban during the season, which runs from November, 2024 to March, 2025.

Passengers can nab a balcony cabin aboard the ship for a 3-night roundtrip cruise to Inhaca Island off Mozambique for just R6,901 per person sharing, or a 4-night cruise to Pomene Bay for just R7,568. Both fares include all port charges and taxes.

MSC Musica

The 4-night Pomene Bay cruise departs Durban on November 25th, 2024, while the 3-night Inyacha Island cruise departs on December 6th, 2024. The promotion is valid for new bookings made from today until July 20th, 2024.

At the time of writing, MSC Cruises website indicated just 145 cabins were still available for sale on both itineraries.

MSC Musica this year replaces the larger MSC Splendida which homeported in Durban and Cape Town for the 2023/24 season.

The ship will sail a range of 2-, 3-, 4- and 5-night itineraries to popular destinations like Portuguese Island, Pomene and Port Louis in Mauritius during the season, sailing roundtrip from Durban.

MSC Musica will start her season in November, 2024 based at the recently inaugurated R330-million Nelson Mandela Cruise Terminal.

Toward the end of the season, she will reposition to Cape Town, from which she’ll sail a series of roundtrip cruises to Luderitz and Walvis Bay in Namibia until April.

Although MSC Musica is smaller than MSC Splendida, the largest cruise ship ever to homeport in the country, she still offers a range of world-class experiences and amenities, which the South African cruising public will be familiar with as Musica has previously homeported in the country.

The 16-deck ship offers 5 restaurants, 10 bars, two lounges, and a casino, nightclub, and full-size theatre. Up top, there are three pools, four whirlpools, a sports court, as well as fully-equipped spa and salon.

The ship’s central foyer has a three-tier waterfall and see-through piano suspended on a crystal floor above a pool of shimmering water, and of her 10 lounges, eight are indoor and two are indoor.

In addition, the ship also offers boutique shops, a library, a game room and dedicated areas for children of all ages with special clubs for toddlers and teens.
